I have a wedding to go to tomorrow for my 5th cousin.  I had to look up a chart on the internet to figure out what our relationship to each other would be called.  I wish we spent more time with the old German side of the family, but I think everyone opted to focus on their immediate families.  We don't celebrate holidays together or really do much

I hear you on the Christmas cookies. I'm always making things out of season. I was trying to make pumpkin bread in July, but I guess stores don't carry canned pumpkin that time of year. ;___;

At least you don't have to match the people sitting at your table at the wedding. =]

Oh, here was the outcome. I was trying so hard not to match anyone... but I ended up matching Tony's sister-in-law right down to the gems and embellishments on her dress. Actually, all the women in the family wore similar dresses. They were pleased that I got the "black dress note." u___u

In the long run, it was probably better to make them happy, haha. A lot of people were wearing black at the wedding last night. I always thought that was more funeral-esque but apparently it's okay. ...White's still off-limits though. ;P
