Um...
EFFING HELL. I JUST SAW POTC3 YESTERDAY. WTF! NOOOOO!
Seriously, if they had not stuck that last bit after the credits (haha, you people that left the theater as soon as the credits were rolling, you missed the best part) I would have cried. I actually wanted to cry anyways, but still.
IT'S JUST SO NOT FAIR. I know there's dispute about the actual nature of Will's curse (will he get to come back after his ten year sentence, or is he stuck in a "ten years, one day" cycle until someone stabs his heart and takes his place?), but for now I stick with what I saw on the screen. The screen said "for all eternity", thus unless the cut scenes are confirmed and stuck as deleted scenes on the disk... and it's just so much more tragic that way too. [In fact, I found this really good fic just recently that had a really old Elizabeth looking for her husband in a little rowboat. T'was sweet. I read another one that had Jack and Bootstrap playing messanger boys for Will and Lizzy. XD]
And either way, Elizabeth has to live without her husband (and raise a SON) for ten years, and only having her last afternoon with Will on the beach to sustain her. Granted, it was a HOT last afternoon, but... It's still depressing. We know she get's through it, because of the last "ten years later" scene, so it's not like she goes and kills herself, yet I still want to cry. You also have to wonder what impact that's got to be on her to be the Pirate King (not Queen!), the Pirate Lord of Singapore, AND the wife to the Captain of the Flying Dutchman. Geeze.
Also, I'm working on a picture with their son cuddling the Dead Man's Chest. It needs to be drawn, yo.
Here's to hoping Will doesn't go fish-face.
Now that that's out of the way!
I'M BACK FROM DISNEYLAND! YAY! But seriously, being in Disneyland with seventy three teenagers is... way different than visiting with family. Seriously, I was STUCK in the middle of a whole bunch of Highschool-flavor drama. I was rooming with. A. Drama queen. No doubt. She (I'll call her A) over reacted to everything that this one guy said to her. >> No, no it doesn't matter that X called her an "effing c" (except more explicitly) on the bus, K calls her a "bitch" and it's ON. Dead serious, she moped all the way to Medival Times (which was awesome, by the way), and only started to cheer up when, I think, she saw how hot the knights were (which they were).
Gah. I wanted to scream. Or slap her. Or something. This is DISNEYLAND. NO MOPING IN DISNEYLAND. Suffice to say, I spent the rest of my trip with my mom and our Californian friends. My sister was a snot and spent the entire trip with her orchestra friends and didn't come around except once to see Jess. >> Mom was really disappointed. I was really disappointed. I think Jess was too. Well, at least didn't get into a fight with her, that's the good news.
NEW SUBJECT! That PendragonxKH fic I was writing:
Yeah. The eighth Pendragon book just came out, which means my fic effectively is scratched out by canon. No, I haven't finished reading the book (which means NO SPOILERS PLZ) but from the first few pages I could tell I'd have to rework a LOT. I wish I had posted it before the book came out, but it's too late now. ;_; It would have been harder to work around new canon half way through anyways. I'll pick it back up after I finish the book and see what I can do from there.
Mohr fic stuff: I wanna write a PotC(post-3)xKH fic now.
Where Sora (and Riku and Kairi?) comes back to visit worlds after he's been gone so long, and wants to catch up with old friends. He ventures a bit deep into the Underworld (perhaps looking for Herc or Meg?) and finds himself completely and utterly lost... only to turn around and find that he is ankle deep-now knee deep-waist deep-treading in water (with his friends? By himself? I'm still concepting, give me a break). The Flying Dutchman comes along, and Will mistakes Sora for a lost soul, and brings him aboard. Sora insists that, no, he is NOT in fact dead (although he should be, since his was not shipboard but in the ocean - remembering how Tia Dalma insisted that Liz didn't leave the ship), but why is Will on this ship and where is Elizabeth? Imagine the conversation THAT'D spark. "Um, well, I'm not really dead. But my dad carved out my heart and stuck it in a box. And I gave the box to Elizabeth." >> And, um, it'd probably be a long one shot or something. ;_; Cause I can't think of much more of a plot now.
THE END? NO! One last news flash, I'M SO TOTALLY DONE WITH AP TESTS! -CHEER-
