My two lads have recently been looking for love at a local home run sanctuary (
http://www.freewebs.com/starlightsrabbitrescue/)and after a week long stay, they are safely back home with their new ladies in tow:
Ginny - more than a match for Barney aka B.A. Barabbit
(think Angie and Den Watts)
Ruby - a feather-soft laydee for Mr Morgan
(think Charles and Camilla)
I have swapped over from towelling to hay and am scatter feeding them rather than bowl feeding on the recommendation of the sanctuary lady to encourage foraging. They are grounded for the first 48 hours - again as recommended and to let them settle in. Both ladies are very sweet and huggable. We're keeping their names as they suit the girls very well. All seems to be going well, we've had a bit of thumping from Ginny, Ruby sat in the corner for ages "scanning" her surroundings but came out for a flop later and even accepted some cabbage from me. The lads are not amused at being grounded but if it trengthens the bond then that's what matters.
