I did grown-up things this week, you guys. Like, I had my first Grown-Up-And-Married holiday-- Ames's folks came down for Thanksgiving dinner with my family since it was just the two of them. Sometimes I talk to people on the phone and I want to be so elegant and conversational in explaining procedures but then I fail. Fail miserably. Didn't get that HR job at UVU. I kind of had a feeling I wouldn't-- still disappointed, since I'm not sure how I possibly could have been more qualified. Oh well. Back to the grindstone.

It's 50 degrees so I am wearing a sweater dress, tights, rainboots, a scarf, and a cardigan all at once. Also my glasses. I considered a hat, but come on, now. That would just be too much.

Ames and I went on a date last night. I was still kind of Mopey McSad-Clown when I picked him up from school, but he's got a way of perking me up pretty quickly because he's just so happy and nice and good-looking, which is clearly a recipe for mood swinging back to positivity, am I right? Am I right? Our internet was shut off when the Herringers moved out, so I can't blog. Our Microsoft trial expired and I can't check my email to find the product key for the full version I downloaded but didn't register, so there's no blank word document for any computeral, finger-to-key satisfaction. Hopefully my hand won't give out as I cerebrally vomit.

I live in a basement apartment, and my landlords are not small people, so my suspicion is they are generous with the air conditioning upstairs. Our apartment doesn't have its own thermostat, so if they're hot upstairs, I'm especially cold downstairs-- always.
