Okay, guys.
I'm not gonna lie.
Yesterday was brutal.
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Seriously. You have no idea how much better you made me feel.
You really don't.

I don't wanna graduate. We're all gonna be sad. And I'm finding it hard to draw anything positive from going to high school. Beth hates it. And I don't want to leave this behind. I really don' ( Read more... )

Well if it doesn't make it all better, it certainly makes it all easier.

I love Newfoundland more than I can put into words. It's something that we all share, I think.

Having lived there for 8 years, I know where you're coming from. *hugs*

Really?? I didn't know that.

That is totally awesome.

I am a Newfoundlander before I am a Canadian..and to see us where we are today compared to where we could be...makes me sad.

*hugs* :)

Yep, lived there for most of my formative childhood, (my siblings were even born there) and all my memories of those times are so uncomplicated and happy. And whenever you're on the mainland and you meet people who used to live on the rock like you, it's like... instant comraderie. ;D

It's so sad... I know so many amazing people who lived in NF and now they all live on the mainland. It's a lot similar to the way a lot of ambitious, intelligent people from India/China/wherever leave their country for a "better life" in Canada or America.

It's always been my dream to move back... until recently. Even though I love Newfoundland so much, when I went back to visit last winter, I realized that I can't deal with the... lack of minority cultures. You get used to the high level of diversity and multiculturalism the longer you stay in Toronto.

I've had close family move away because they can't find jobs here...and I've realized that I'm gonna have to leave, too in order to do what I want to do. Sadsadsad.

You get used to the high level of diversity and multiculturalism the longer you stay in Toronto.

That could work both ways, too! When my dad and I went to Toronto for the first time in forever uh, three(?) years ago...dad experienced culture shock! I laughed at him. I guess maybe where I'm younger it's just easier for me to adjust. But he was just...blown away! It's just so different. I was alright with it, though. I can see myself living in Toronto. I love it there. Doesn't mean I'm gonna pack up and move as soon as I'm 18.:P

We're thinking about flying up this summer to see family. (We have a lot of family in Toronto.) B

Haha, I have two more years, but I'm terrified of leaving high school. Honestly. There's so much out there, and it's all really scary.

But I think we'll be alright. :) And I'm glad yesterday was alright. I'm happy for you.`

10th grade scares the crap outta me.
But I think I'll be more afraid of leaving high school because, like you said, there's a lot out there. The world is a scary, scary place. Of course that will depend on whether or not I like high school. I LOOOVE junior high. And high school's got some pretty big shoes to fill. :P

I think we'll be alright, too. *hugs* :)
