Lay my head down [Emma's Room - New Enterprise, John, Emma, and Others]

Em sighed as she let herself into her room. She slowly walked to the bathroom to wash her face and change into a grey tank top and pajama pants. Finally, she sat on the bed and pulled out her trusty datapadd to update her livejournal with a short Christmas wishlist. She frowned. She hadn't seen John in a while so she quickly wrote out a message.

John, come over and we could go to breakfast this morning. I wanna know how you're doing on the ship.

Much love,
M

Finally, she double checked her list of things she ordered for Christmas as well as the clothes that she promised George to shop for before sending it off. She at least had the comfort of the holidays coming up to look forward to.

Setting the padd to the side of her bed, she looked at the next dosage of Hydronol. She took the first dose with no problem when Meira first gave it to her the night before. She felt bad for sneaking around behind Lenny's back with his own ensign... She didn't like that she had to resort to aids but...Em closed her hand around the vial. She didn't need Lenny to worry about her not sleeping properly.

Em took a deep breath and popped in the blue pill before taking a gulp of water. The medicine had 10 minutes to take effect. So she set her comm and the vial on the bedside table and laid down on top of the sheets, staring at the ceiling. What would David think of her if he knew she was resorting to medicine to help her just sleep?

Her eyelids felt heavy. Here we go... She felt her body relax as she sunk slowly into unconsciousness. But something didn't feel right. Em felt her body sink deeper and deeper, like her mind was drowning in quicksand. Soon, she drifted off to the deepest sleep she ever had.

Hours soon passed and Emma was still fast asleep. Her body was still relaxed in the same position as it was last night, still sprawled on top of the covers. Her breathing had become shallow enough to show the barest movement.
