I planted a pumpkin patch last weekend and it is growing already! Mini pumpkins, white pumpkins, pumpkins good for pies, and enormous ones too. I hope I have some good ones in the fall.

I just got some at Job Lot and planted them last week, and they are sprouting already! The fastest one will be ready end of October, the slower ones for Thanksgiving (hopefully!)

Oh I forgot to say that after we were talking about radicchio I looked for seeds there but didn't find any, but I did plant kale.

there's a guy on my morning walk-route that has a crazy pumpkin patch in his front yard right along the sidewalk of the main street in our little town. it bothers me that he already has a bunch of pumpkins growing... it's too early for them, i think.
