I can't be the only one who is slightly annoyed by folks confusing them with macaroons, can I? Anyway, this place in St. Paul is supposed to make macarons that rival the ones at Laudurée. Not that I'd know!

I had some from Laduree - just once - they came in the cutest box with a chandelier on it, which I keep on my night stand...

mmmmmmMacarons...

Yours look like they turned out very well.

I've never had any macarons from Ladurée, but we often get them from Miette here in San Francisco(we're fortunate to have at least 5 patisseries in town that do Ladurée-style macarons). Favorite flavors: rose geranium, grapefruit zest, pistachio, Earl Grey tea.

I've often wondered how Ladurée manages to get such vibrant colors!
