Does anyone have both PSP7 and PSP8? Is there enough of a difference between the two to make it worth asking for it for a birthday gift?

I don't have PSP8 (I have version 7), but I do know that in the past when I've used tutorials using v.5 or 6 (meaning that the author of the tutorials wrote it using an earlier version), nothing has really differed in any of the components one expects to find on PSP. I'm probably going to wait to upgrade when version 9 comes out since I'm pretty satisfied with v. 7. Of course, I'd really rather get Paint Shop, but that's several hundred dollars. ;) A little out of my price range. :)

Yes, PS is EXPENSIVE. :( Out of my price range too. :)

I'd love to get it one day though; because I've heard that it is the best graphics program out there (for more amatur users like us ;). I keep thinking doing graphic design for a college degree might be cool--maybe I could finally justify PS. ;) lol!

I'm such a Luddite-- I still use PSP 5 and 6! *lol* I find that 5 renders the cripest text, but 6 has more nifty features. I've never tried 7 or 8, but I'm happy with my "antique" software. :)

I love my PSP7:) I think for now, I'll just stick with that... unless I find 8 does enough things in one step that always takes me 5 steps to do. :)

I have the same program Amber does. In fact, she is the one who told me about it. Sorry to post something totally off topic in your journal Heather.
