Title: What I Couldn't Say - Part 1
Rating: PG
Genre: Romance with a bit of fluffy fluff

Summary: Keito has a boyfriend, and Yuto isnt happy about it.... not one bit.
Notes: I tried to make this one a bit more intricate, so it is a bit longer, but this is my first time writing like this so just let me know... maybe I'll just stick to my one-shots if this fails..... (gomen ne? - In advance)
It was just like any other day, JUMP had just finished shooting their last PV before the summer holidays, and naturally, everyone was talking about what they would be doing during the short week that they had before leaving for their summer tour. Keito had a big announcement though, and promptly burst out.
“I have a boyfriend!” He said, making the room grow silent.
“Well! It’s about time! For someone who’s supposedly a cultured Englishman, you took a while ne?” Inoo patted Keito on the back.
“Well!? Who is this guy!?” Yabu nudged at the English boy’s side.
“His name is Ken.. and we met the other day… by chance.” Keito shyly twiddled his thumbs as the members gathered around him. He was so busy answering a swarm of questions that he didn't notice there was a member missing.
Yuto had been sitting in the corner, his legs drawn up to his chest, and he stared straight ahead, looking at the crowd of his bandmates crowding over Keito. He had always been particularly good at hiding how he really felt about Keito, constantly assuring himself that there was always tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that in which he would muster up the strength to confront the boy and profess his feelings. Hearing the news, struck a tender chord in his heart. He had lost, it was over.
“Ne, Yuto….are you okay?” Daiki walked over and put his arm around Yuto.
“You look troubled…” He continued.
“I’m…. fine……. Arigato Dai-chan” Yuto put on a weak forced smile.
“You’re a bad liar Yuto….. don’t tell me….. it’s cause you like Keito?” Daiki stuck his head in front of Yuto and looked him straight in the eyes.
“N-no….. not at all” Yuto shook his head desperately trying to avoid Daiki’s gaze.
“Ah…. So you DO like him…. Well just cause he found a guy…. Doesn't always mean that it’s going to work out…. And if you really feel strongly for him, don't you think you should try anyway?” Daiki patted Yuto on the back and kept his arm around the pouting boy. Truth be told, Yuto agreed, but he still felt depressed that he was unabled to tell Keito directly. For now, all he could do was sit there and watch as the boy he loved talked happily about his boyfriend.
“Ne! Yuto! Dai-Chan! Keito and his new boyfriend are going out to eat tonight, it’ll be our first time to meet the guy! Lets go!” Chinen grabbed both their arms and pulled them along. While Daiki followed willingly, Yuto trudged along the floor, dreading every step closer to meeting this “Ken” person. He worried if he could even compare to someone who could grab Keito’s attention. He had been trying for the last year, dropping hints during rehearsal, though now that he thought about it, his attempts to establish a connection were rather weakly thought out.

After a few minutes of walking, the entire group finally reached the little restaurant that Keito had mentioned. As soon as they entered, Keito’s face lit up as he raised his hand and waived to a lone person, sitting at the table in a private room at the back. The person turned and gave a nod. After finding their seats, all the members, except for Yuto, wildly congratulated Keito on finding such a “Cool and Handsome guy”. The night progressed normally, and the members learned that Ken and Keito had met during the ride on the subway to JUMP’s last photoshoot. That Ken had accidentally bumped into Keito during the train ride and they just suddenly hit it off.
Towards the end of the night, Yuto had finally taken enough, he felt so frustrated that he couldn’t do anything and each time Keito held Ken’s hand, his heart sank deeper and deeper.
“I have to go to the bathroom, excuse me…” Yuto stood, walking quickly out of the room without making any eye contact. He got into the far most stall and shut the door, slumming down the wall. He sighed as he could feel the chances of him and Keito ever being together slipping away. His eyes started to water up the longer he thought about it.
“Hey…. YUTO!” Daiki’s voice rang out into the small restroom.
“How long are you going to be in there!? We’re leaving already!” The sounds of a door shut and again it was silent. Yuto sniffled and wiped away the tears welling in his eyes and composed himself before walking out. As he passed the room they had dinner in, he heard Ken and Keito talking.
“Why the hell did you invite them to come? I’m not paying for another one of these stupid dinners.” Ken said, his voice sounding angry.
“Sorry….but, I want them to meet you!” Keito gave a pleading look.
“I don't care who they are, it doesn’t concern me, next time just tell them we’re going out to whatever” Ken responded.
“Sorry….” Keito apologized, and with his head down picked up his jacket from the chair. Together they walked out, not noticing Yuto hiding behind the nearby door.
“What is going on….. he’s treating him like dirt!” Yuto’s anger grew, his fists clenched and at that moment, he came to a resolution. He would win Keito’s heart back from that jerk who stole it.
“I promise” Yuto whispered to himself.

The next day, the JUMP members decided to go the park to get in some time out in the open air. Naturally, the band’s newest acquaintance came along. Despite the fact that this was one of the few breaks the group had in such a long time, Yuto found himself grumpily scowling as Ken and Keito arrived.
“Yahoi!” Daiki waved to them.
“Well, well, if it isn’t the love birds.” Hikaru put his hands on his hips
“You’re late!” Yamada yelled as he kicked a soccer ball in Keito’s direction.
Keito caught the ball and immediately returned it, kicking it perfectly into the near by goal. “Sorry everyone! Ken and I had to go do some of his errands….”
“Great, now he’s dragging Keito along all day to do his stuff… I’d never do that” Yuto muttered as he averted his gaze, trying to look as though he had just seen something interesting in the horizon.
“What was that Yuto?” Daiki appeared next to him.
“Uwa!” Yuto jumped.
“You’re very bad at noticing things when you’re depressed…. Or are you angry now?” Daiki laughed.
“It’s not funny, and I’m not angry.”
“You look it”
“Well I’m not”
“You’re a bad liar…. You always were, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing”
“Yuto…. Do you want to talk somewhere else?” Daiki looked worried.
After a few moments of consideration, Yuto nodded and they made the excuse that they were going to go pick something up that Yuto forgot at his house. As they walked, Yuto felt conflicted. He wanted desperately to tell someone what he had seen that night, but at the same time, he wanted to stay at the park to keep an eye on things. Finally, after walking for a few minutes, they arrived at the Nakajima residence.
“No one’s home during the day…” Yuto said as he opened the door, and the two proceded to his room.
“Uwahh… so this is Yuto-kun’s room….. it’s kinda cool…. Despite what a goofball you are ne?” Arioka laughed and sat down on a beanbag chair in the corner.
“Thanks…. I think…” Yuto said as he sullenly sat down on the bed.
“Okay, so what is going on? I know you liked Keito, but if he’s happy don’t you think you should at least let him try to find happiness with Ken?”
“But… I saw something yesterday, after you had all left….” Yuto gave a pleading look, begging for Daiki to listen to his story.
“Oh? What was that then?”
“He may appear all nice and everything from the front, but truthfully, he treats Keito like crap!” Yuto yelled, standing from his position on the bed. Just thinking about the events made his blood boil again.
“Wha-what?” Daiki didn’t understand.
“He acts all nice around us, but when its just the two of them alone, you should hear how he talks! Just like Keito is a manservant and he’s the master, just ordering him around, and all Keito says is “Sorry” this “Sorry” that. I can’t stand it!” Yuto slammed his fist on the table beside his bed.
“Whoa, calm down Yuto. Maybe…. Maybe ken was just having a bad day…” The older of the two tried to reason his way out of this.
“I don’t care… its just that…. He shouldn’t be treated like that…” Yuto’s voice softened as he felt slightly embarrassed that he lost control so easily.
“You really like him don’t you?” Daiki walked over to the bed and put his arm around Yuto in a brotherly embrace.
“Yuto, you’re like my little brother, and if you like someone so much, then I’ll support you. I believe in what you say, but we’ll have to get proof for the other members. Okay?” The older boy gave a squeeze with his arm and all Yuto could do was nod. He felt better now that he had finally told someone, and that someone had believed him. But the fact of the matter was, the problem still remained. Walking back to the park, the pair thought of ways that they could accidentally catch Ken’s true attitude towards Keito when not in the public eye.

“Hey guys! We’re back!” Daiki yelled into the park.
“Hey! You guys took forever…. We’re bored now…” Chinen pouted as he hung upside down from a bar.
“Well, actually, Yuto and I were thinking about doing something” Arioka leaned in and whispered “something so the two love birds can be alone…. And we can spy on them” he finished with a mischievous grin. Chinen smiled and dropped off the bar to go tell the other members.
“Keitoooo! We’ve made reservations at the restaurant near downtown! Don’t be laaaate” HIkaru yelled as he and the other JUMP members walked out of the park
“Hey…. Wait….” Keito looked confused.

“Alright guys, here’s what’s going to happen, I got us two rooms at the restaurant, next to each other. We’re gonna let those two have the smaller room… and naturally, we’ll spy on them…. Hehe” Daiki said as the members huddled outside the small restaurnt.
“Jeez Dai-Chan, you’re kinda on a little evil streak aren’t you?” Yabu said as he stood up and looked around.
“Maybe…”
Yuto felt a little strange and helpless that Daiki was actually doing this for his sake. He tried to change the subject.
“Well! Tonight should be fun then right!?” He said, forcing an uncomfortable smile as Arioka stared at him.
“Yay!” came the response.
“Hey guys! We’re here! Why did you all ditch me and Ken at the park?” Keito said as he laid his hands on Yuto and Takaki’s back. “And what is everyone sayin?” He smiled.
“N-nothing!” Yamada said and began pushing everyone in the restaurant. As they got into the seating area, Daiki pointed to Keito and Ken and nodded his head to the waitress who promptly seated them in the room.
“Keito! We’ve got a surprise for you! We felt bad that we barged in on your date last time, so we’ve arranged for you and Ken to have a private room all by yourself!” Daiki explained.
“B-but I wanted you guys to mee-“ Keito was interrupted as Ryutaro started pulling him into the room and Ken walked behind them, a bored expression on his face.
Naturally, there was everything but eating going on in the larger room where the other members were waiting. They peaked through a conveniently placed hole in the wall dividers. It was large enough to let one maybe two people peek through and small enough to not be noticed. But everyone would be able to hear any sound coming from the smaller room.
“Gah, your friends are so strange.” Ken said, already assuming his high and mighty tone.
“I think they’re interesting and cute.” Keito said, his voice was soft.
“Anyway, get me one of those plates” Ken ordered and Keito merely nodded.
“Oh and tell to hurry up too, I’m freaking starving, I told you to bring a snack to the park in case didn't I? Why didn't you listen to me? Idiot…” Ken said, giving a glare.
“Sorry….” Keito bowed slightly and kept his head buried in the menu.
“What the heck is goin on with him? Inoo asked as he had his ear pressed against the thin separator between the groups.
“Yeah, he’s… not that nice to Keito is he?” Yabu said, biting his lip slightly, holding back some more words that shouldn’t be uttered in front of his younger bandmates.
“I had a feeling that he was totally wrong for Keito….” Yuto said, happy that someone had finally shared his opinions.
“But that’s because you like him don't you?” Chinen said, not taking his eyes off the little hole in the divider.
“EH!? Dai-Chan! You told!?” Yuto jumped up from his place.
“Calm down, we all knew….. you aren’t exactly great at hiding it… the only two oblivious people here are you and Okamoto over there..” Ryutaro said, giving Yuto a look. With that, Yuto sat down again, feeling embarrassed.
“We cant let this go on you know…. But what should we do about it….” Hikaru said, as he shrugged his shoulders at his own question.
“Well we’ve got that trip to the mountains that our producers gave us…. Maybe the time without Ken will give us the time we need to set him straight.” Takaki offered.
“Yeah…. So I guess we’ll just have to wait the next three days…” Daiki nodded, noticing as Yuto’s heart sank. He knew that Yuto had wanted an immediate solution, but sadly, there was none that he could offer.
The next three days dragged by for Yuto, he spent the greater portion of the day avoiding Keito and his date, and spent the greater portion of the night dreaming about him.
“Gah.. I can’t even sleep!” Yuto sat up in his bed as the thoughts of Keito and Ken together swirled around in his head. He got up from his bed and turned on the lights. He had to be careful not to make too much noise, or else he might wake everyone in the house up.
“Ne, Ni-chan, whats wrong?” Yuto looked up, startled. His little brother Raiya had woken up.
“N-nothing, shouldn't you be sleeping?” Yuto said, putting on a matter of fact look.
“Well, you were talking in your sleep….”
“Oh? What was I saying?”
“Something about being tired…. A park… and who’s Keito?”
“Ah-aguh…..no one…..” Yuto scrambled about
“Ni-cha-“
“Go to bed Raiya, it’s late” Yuto cut him off before he could ask anything more.
“Can I sleep with you then? It’s cold in my room……”
“That’s cause you keep kicking your blanket off the bed…..” Yuto gave another matter of fact look. Unfortunately, he had a soft spot where his brother was concerned and relented. Raiya crawled into the bed and Yuto covered the two of them with his blanket.
“I like Ni-Chan’s bed better, it’s warmer.” Raiya snuggled into a pillow and closed his eyes.
Yuto looked at his younger brother for a moment, and smiled. He fell asleep sometime afterwards.

At last Yuto’s torture ended, and the three days had finally passed. Yuto, Daiki and Ryutaro had taken the same bus up into the mountains and they were discussing how to go about telling Keito his special someone wasn't that special.
“How about we just be direct…… and just tell him.” Ryutaro went for the simple approach.
“That wont work…. We don't want to offend Keito….How about we hint at it, you know point things out and then gradually suggest that he may not….. be THE ONE” Daiki suggested.
“Yuto?” The two of them looked at the taller boy who was spacing out, watching the scenery pass. He had been thinking, imagining this trip for the last few hours, nothing but butterflies filled his stomach as the lodge they were staying at drew nearer.
As the group arrived, Yabu and HIkaru came out with some solemn faces to greet them.
“Things aren’t going to go exactly as planned….” Yabu muttered as he helped unload some luggage.
“Hey guys!” Keito waved from the entrance.
“Hey…” Ken nodded as he stood behind Keito.
“W-what?” Yuto was just about to burst into hysterics..
“If he hasn't come to his senses by the end of this trip, I promise you Yuto, we’ll confront Keito okay?” Daiki swore as he held Yuto from falling to the ground.
The JUMP members, plus Ken, decided to go for a dip in the Mountain’s spring and gathered around the lodge’s spa.
“Hello, welcome to the Shizu Health Spa, please be aware that the temperatures in the spring waters are very cold, and should only be entered by those who have been in the warming tub. If you enter without preparation, you may experience shortness of breath and numbing of the fingers.” The spa attendant bowed as the boys walked in.
In the locker room, the boys stripped to their bathing suits, and Yuto couldn’t help but peek at Keito as the English boy walked around putting away his and Ken’s clothing. Soon enough, the group entered the place with the tubs of water. It was clear that these pools were more than big and deep enough to accompany a group three times their size. Keito walked up to the cool water pool and dipped his hand in and jumped up and shivered.
“UWA! It’s cold!” He laughed at his own surprise. And Stretched his arms out, feeling the cold mountain air brush against his body. “But it feels so nice and cool…”
Just then, a loud voice yelled out:
“HEY! What’s your problem!?”
Everyone turned to see Ken, yelling at another teenager, who was shying away.
“You shoulda been watching where you were going idiot! You nearly knocked my friend over!” The teen retorted.
“You…..” Ken raised his fist and Keito quicky ran to stop him.
“Ken!” He held back the fist.
“Let go!” Ken gave his arm a rough jerk backwards and hit Keito square in the gut, knocking all the air out of him and stumbling him backwards until he fell, hitting his head on the handrail pole and slipping into the cold water pool.
“KEITO!” Everyone yelled Yuto dove into the waters quickly swimming down the few feet of water the deep end of the pool contained and reached forward to grab Keito.
Keito:
“I cant breathe…. It’s so cold… what happened…..? My head hurts and everything is so… blurry….. The light up there….. near the top of the pool…. It’s so….. bright….. Who’s that…….? Ken? Stay away!”
Keito squirmed away from the figure approaching him, but his strength would allow him no more power to resist. He tried to worm his arm out of the way but then his eyes focused on the figure’s face. Yuto had such a worried look that he felt his anxiety melt away and at the same time, he could hold his breath no longer as he passed into unconsciousness from the lack of oxygen, and the cold.
Yuto quickly snatched the boy from the waters and swam to the top, somehow mustering enough strength to haul the boy onto the ground before he himself felt the cold biting into his very core, he suddenly felt very weak as he slowly crawled up the lip of the pool and collapsed next to Keito. He reached for Keito’s hand and clasped it as Takaki gave Keito a hard slap, awakening the unconscious boy, causing him to spit out water.
“Yuto!” Keito turned and faced the boy lying next to him. Yuto was having a little trouble breathing
“His system is experiencing shock, the waters were too cold! He needs to warm up, I’ll get some blankets!” The Spa Attendant ran off into the building.
“Yuto, hang on okay?!” Keito shook his fallen bandmate. “This is taking too long…” Keito propped Yuto up, and hugged him, pressing tightly. He may not have had too much body warmth, but it was better than nothing. He could feel the skinny boy’s stone cold skin against his own, but it didn't matter. Ken stood there, eyeing the scene without a single sign of remorse. Keito gave him the sternest of looks and tended to the boy in his embrace. The blankets finally came and the members wrapped the two between them and took them into the building, letting them both rest in Ryutaro and Chinen’s room.

After everyone had left them alone, Keito sat up and walked over to Yuto, who was laying on Ryutaro’s bed.
“Ne… Yuto…”
“mmh?”
“I….uh… thank you for…… saving me”
“It wa-“
“It wasn’t nothing….”
“Keito…..”
“Yuto….. why did you just dive in like that? Don’t you care about your own safety? Did you think that someone as skinny as you would have lasted long in those waters?!” Keito lectured.
“I just…. care about your safety more…..” Yuto said, as he was still feeling chills racking his body.
“But why?”
“B-Because…..”
“What? Yuto…..”
“Because….. I…..”
“Yuto! Just say it!”
“Because I….. LOVE YOU” Yuto spat the last words out , the sudden burst bringing a little bit of warmth back.
“Oh Yuto….I….” Keito felt no words coming to his mind, and covered himself with the blanket Yuto was under. He put his arm around the boy and held him tightly. Together they closed their eyes and drifted off into a warm sleep.

“What is going on….. he’s treating him like dirt!” Yuto’s anger grew, his fists clenched and at that moment, he came to a resolution. He would win Keito’s heart back from that jerk who stole it.
“I promise” Yuto whispered to himself.

The next day, the JUMP members decided to go the park to get in some time out in the open air. Naturally, the band’s newest acquaintance came along. Despite the fact that this was one of the few breaks the group had in such a long time, Yuto found himself grumpily scowling as Ken and Keito arrived.
“Yahoi!” Daiki waved to them.
“Well, well, if it isn’t the love birds.” Hikaru put his hands on his hips
“You’re late!” Yamada yelled as he kicked a soccer ball in Keito’s direction.
Keito caught the ball and immediately returned it, kicking it perfectly into the near by goal. “Sorry everyone! Ken and I had to go do some of his errands….”
“Great, now he’s dragging Keito along all day to do his stuff… I’d never do that” Yuto muttered as he averted his gaze, trying to look as though he had just seen something interesting in the horizon.
“What was that Yuto?” Daiki appeared next to him.
“Uwa!” Yuto jumped.
“You’re very bad at noticing things when you’re depressed…. Or are you angry now?” Daiki laughed.
“It’s not funny, and I’m not angry.”
“You look it”
“Well I’m not”
“You’re a bad liar…. You always were, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing”
“Yuto…. Do you want to talk somewhere else?” Daiki looked worried.
After a few moments of consideration, Yuto nodded and they made the excuse that they were going to go pick something up that Yuto forgot at his house. As they walked, Yuto felt conflicted. He wanted desperately to tell someone what he had seen that night, but at the same time, he wanted to stay at the park to keep an eye on things. Finally, after walking for a few minutes, they arrived at the Nakajima residence.
“No one’s home during the day…” Yuto said as he opened the door, and the two proceded to his room.
“Uwahh… so this is Yuto-kun’s room….. it’s kinda cool…. Despite what a goofball you are ne?” Arioka laughed and sat down on a beanbag chair in the corner.
“Thanks…. I think…” Yuto said as he sullenly sat down on the bed.
“Okay, so what is going on? I know you liked Keito, but if he’s happy don’t you think you should at least let him try to find happiness with Ken?”
“But… I saw something yesterday, after you had all left….” Yuto gave a pleading look, begging for Daiki to listen to his story.
“Oh? What was that then?”
“He may appear all nice and everything from the front, but truthfully, he treats Keito like crap!” Yuto yelled, standing from his position on the bed. Just thinking about the events made his blood boil again.
“Wha-what?” Daiki didn’t understand.
“He acts all nice around us, but when its just the two of them alone, you should hear how he talks! Just like Keito is a manservant and he’s the master, just ordering him around, and all Keito says is “Sorry” this “Sorry” that. I can’t stand it!” Yuto slammed his fist on the table beside his bed.
“Whoa, calm down Yuto. Maybe…. Maybe ken was just having a bad day…” The older of the two tried to reason his way out of this.
“I don’t care… its just that…. He shouldn’t be treated like that…” Yuto’s voice softened as he felt slightly embarrassed that he lost control so easily.
“You really like him don’t you?” Daiki walked over to the bed and put his arm around Yuto in a brotherly embrace.
“Yuto, you’re like my little brother, and if you like someone so much, then I’ll support you. I believe in what you say, but we’ll have to get proof for the other members. Okay?” The older boy gave a squeeze with his arm and all Yuto could do was nod. He felt better now that he had finally told someone, and that someone had believed him. But the fact of the matter was, the problem still remained. Walking back to the park, the pair thought of ways that they could accidentally catch Ken’s true attitude towards Keito when not in the public eye.

“Hey guys! We’re back!” Daiki yelled into the park.
“Hey! You guys took forever…. We’re bored now…” Chinen pouted as he hung upside down from a bar.
“Well, actually, Yuto and I were thinking about doing something” Arioka leaned in and whispered “something so the two love birds can be alone…. And we can spy on them” he finished with a mischievous grin. Chinen smiled and dropped off the bar to go tell the other members.
“Keitoooo! We’ve made reservations at the restaurant near downtown! Don’t be laaaate” HIkaru yelled as he and the other JUMP members walked out of the park
“Hey…. Wait….” Keito looked confused.

“Alright guys, here’s what’s going to happen, I got us two rooms at the restaurant, next to each other. We’re gonna let those two have the smaller room… and naturally, we’ll spy on them…. Hehe” Daiki said as the members huddled outside the small restaurnt.
“Jeez Dai-Chan, you’re kinda on a little evil streak aren’t you?” Yabu said as he stood up and looked around.
“Maybe…”
Yuto felt a little strange and helpless that Daiki was actually doing this for his sake. He tried to change the subject.
“Well! Tonight should be fun then right!?” He said, forcing an uncomfortable smile as Arioka stared at him.
“Yay!” came the response.
“Hey guys! We’re here! Why did you all ditch me and Ken at the park?” Keito said as he laid his hands on Yuto and Takaki’s back. “And what is everyone sayin?” He smiled.
“N-nothing!” Yamada said and began pushing everyone in the restaurant. As they got into the seating area, Daiki pointed to Keito and Ken and nodded his head to the waitress who promptly seated them in the room.
“Keito! We’ve got a surprise for you! We felt bad that we barged in on your date last time, so we’ve arranged for you and Ken to have a private room all by yourself!” Daiki explained.
“B-but I wanted you guys to mee-“ Keito was interrupted as Ryutaro started pulling him into the room and Ken walked behind them, a bored expression on his face.
Naturally, there was everything but eating going on in the larger room where the other members were waiting. They peaked through a conveniently placed hole in the wall dividers. It was large enough to let one maybe two people peek through and small enough to not be noticed. But everyone would be able to hear any sound coming from the smaller room.
“Gah, your friends are so strange.” Ken said, already assuming his high and mighty tone.
“I think they’re interesting and cute.” Keito said, his voice was soft.
“Anyway, get me one of those plates” Ken ordered and Keito merely nodded.
“Oh and tell to hurry up too, I’m freaking starving, I told you to bring a snack to the park in case didn't I? Why didn't you listen to me? Idiot…” Ken said, giving a glare.
“Sorry….” Keito bowed slightly and kept his head buried in the menu.
“What the heck is goin on with him? Inoo asked as he had his ear pressed against the thin separator between the groups.
“Yeah, he’s… not that nice to Keito is he?” Yabu said, biting his lip slightly, holding back some more words that shouldn’t be uttered in front of his younger bandmates.
“I had a feeling that he was totally wrong for Keito….” Yuto said, happy that someone had finally shared his opinions.
“But that’s because you like him don't you?” Chinen said, not taking his eyes off the little hole in the divider.
“EH!? Dai-Chan! You told!?” Yuto jumped up from his place.
“Calm down, we all knew….. you aren’t exactly great at hiding it… the only two oblivious people here are you and Okamoto over there..” Ryutaro said, giving Yuto a look. With that, Yuto sat down again, feeling embarrassed.
“We cant let this go on you know…. But what should we do about it….” Hikaru said, as he shrugged his shoulders at his own question.
“Well we’ve got that trip to the mountains that our producers gave us…. Maybe the time without Ken will give us the time we need to set him straight.” Takaki offered.
“Yeah…. So I guess we’ll just have to wait the next three days…” Daiki nodded, noticing as Yuto’s heart sank. He knew that Yuto had wanted an immediate solution, but sadly, there was none that he could offer.
The next three days dragged by for Yuto, he spent the greater portion of the day avoiding Keito and his date, and spent the greater portion of the night dreaming about him.
“Gah.. I can’t even sleep!” Yuto sat up in his bed as the thoughts of Keito and Ken together swirled around in his head. He got up from his bed and turned on the lights. He had to be careful not to make too much noise, or else he might wake everyone in the house up.
“Ne, Ni-chan, whats wrong?” Yuto looked up, startled. His little brother Raiya had woken up.
“N-nothing, shouldn't you be sleeping?” Yuto said, putting on a matter of fact look.
“Well, you were talking in your sleep….”
“Oh? What was I saying?”
“Something about being tired…. A park… and who’s Keito?”
“Ah-aguh…..no one…..” Yuto scrambled about
“Ni-cha-“
“Go to bed Raiya, it’s late” Yuto cut him off before he could ask anything more.
“Can I sleep with you then? It’s cold in my room……”
“That’s cause you keep kicking your blanket off the bed…..” Yuto gave another matter of fact look. Unfortunately, he had a soft spot where his brother was concerned and relented. Raiya crawled into the bed and Yuto covered the two of them with his blanket.
“I like Ni-Chan’s bed better, it’s warmer.” Raiya snuggled into a pillow and closed his eyes.
Yuto looked at his younger brother for a moment, and smiled. He fell asleep sometime afterwards.

At last Yuto’s torture ended, and the three days had finally passed. Yuto, Daiki and Ryutaro had taken the same bus up into the mountains and they were discussing how to go about telling Keito his special someone wasn't that special.
“How about we just be direct…… and just tell him.” Ryutaro went for the simple approach.
“That wont work…. We don't want to offend Keito….How about we hint at it, you know point things out and then gradually suggest that he may not….. be THE ONE” Daiki suggested.
“Yuto?” The two of them looked at the taller boy who was spacing out, watching the scenery pass. He had been thinking, imagining this trip for the last few hours, nothing but butterflies filled his stomach as the lodge they were staying at drew nearer.
As the group arrived, Yabu and HIkaru came out with some solemn faces to greet them.
“Things aren’t going to go exactly as planned….” Yabu muttered as he helped unload some luggage.
“Hey guys!” Keito waved from the entrance.
“Hey…” Ken nodded as he stood behind Keito.
“W-what?” Yuto was just about to burst into hysterics..
“If he hasn't come to his senses by the end of this trip, I promise you Yuto, we’ll confront Keito okay?” Daiki swore as he held Yuto from falling to the ground.
The JUMP members, plus Ken, decided to go for a dip in the Mountain’s spring and gathered around the lodge’s spa.
“Hello, welcome to the Shizu Health Spa, please be aware that the temperatures in the spring waters are very cold, and should only be entered by those who have been in the warming tub. If you enter without preparation, you may experience shortness of breath and numbing of the fingers.” The spa attendant bowed as the boys walked in.
In the locker room, the boys stripped to their bathing suits, and Yuto couldn’t help but peek at Keito as the English boy walked around putting away his and Ken’s clothing. Soon enough, the group entered the place with the tubs of water. It was clear that these pools were more than big and deep enough to accompany a group three times their size. Keito walked up to the cool water pool and dipped his hand in and jumped up and shivered.
“UWA! It’s cold!” He laughed at his own surprise. And Stretched his arms out, feeling the cold mountain air brush against his body. “But it feels so nice and cool…”
Just then, a loud voice yelled out:
“HEY! What’s your problem!?”
Everyone turned to see Ken, yelling at another teenager, who was shying away.
“You shoulda been watching where you were going idiot! You nearly knocked my friend over!” The teen retorted.
“You…..” Ken raised his fist and Keito quicky ran to stop him.
“Ken!” He held back the fist.
“Let go!” Ken gave his arm a rough jerk backwards and hit Keito square in the gut, knocking all the air out of him and stumbling him backwards until he fell, hitting his head on the handrail pole and slipping into the cold water pool.
“KEITO!” Everyone yelled Yuto dove into the waters quickly swimming down the few feet of water the deep end of the pool contained and reached forward to grab Keito.
Keito:
“I cant breathe…. It’s so cold… what happened…..? My head hurts and everything is so… blurry….. The light up there….. near the top of the pool…. It’s so….. bright….. Who’s that…….? Ken? Stay away!”
Keito squirmed away from the figure approaching him, but his strength would allow him no more power to resist. He tried to worm his arm out of the way but then his eyes focused on the figure’s face. Yuto had such a worried look that he felt his anxiety melt away and at the same time, he could hold his breath no longer as he passed into unconsciousness from the lack of oxygen, and the cold.
Yuto quickly snatched the boy from the waters and swam to the top, somehow mustering enough strength to haul the boy onto the ground before he himself felt the cold biting into his very core, he suddenly felt very weak as he slowly crawled up the lip of the pool and collapsed next to Keito. He reached for Keito’s hand and clasped it as Takaki gave Keito a hard slap, awakening the unconscious boy, causing him to spit out water.
“Yuto!” Keito turned and faced the boy lying next to him. Yuto was having a little trouble breathing
“His system is experiencing shock, the waters were too cold! He needs to warm up, I’ll get some blankets!” The Spa Attendant ran off into the building.
“Yuto, hang on okay?!” Keito shook his fallen bandmate. “This is taking too long…” Keito propped Yuto up, and hugged him, pressing tightly. He may not have had too much body warmth, but it was better than nothing. He could feel the skinny boy’s stone cold skin against his own, but it didn't matter. Ken stood there, eyeing the scene without a single sign of remorse. Keito gave him the sternest of looks and tended to the boy in his embrace. The blankets finally came and the members wrapped the two between them and took them into the building, letting them both rest in Ryutaro and Chinen’s room.

After everyone had left them alone, Keito sat up and walked over to Yuto, who was laying on Ryutaro’s bed.
“Ne… Yuto…”
“mmh?”
“I….uh… thank you for…… saving me”
“It wa-“
“It wasn’t nothing….”
“Keito…..”
“Yuto….. why did you just dive in like that? Don’t you care about your own safety? Did you think that someone as skinny as you would have lasted long in those waters?!” Keito lectured.
“I just…. care about your safety more…..” Yuto said, as he was still feeling chills racking his body.
“But why?”
“B-Because…..”
“What? Yuto…..”
“Because….. I…..”
“Yuto! Just say it!”
“Because I….. LOVE YOU” Yuto spat the last words out , the sudden burst bringing a little bit of warmth back.
“Oh Yuto….I….” Keito felt no words coming to his mind, and covered himself with the blanket Yuto was under. He put his arm around the boy and held him tightly. Together they closed their eyes and drifted off into a warm sleep.
