Fire

Keito smiled as he watched Yuto struggle to put together a s’more next to the small campfire he had set up. He had spent the last few minutes trying desperately to NOT get the melted marshmallow all over himself. Unfortunately, every time he touched the thing, either the chocolate or the sticky melted treat would stick to his hands. Finally figuring it out, Yuto put the completed s’more between his teeth and wiped off his fingers. He bounced his way next to Keito and sat down and grabbed the treat between his lips gingerly, trying not to squeeze out gooey sweetness within. He offered Keito half, but became puzzled as Keito began laughing. Keito wiped a small bit of mixed chocolate and marshmallow off Yuto’s cheek and licked it off his finger.

“This is sweeter” Yuto blushed at the boy’s words and leaned his head on Keito’s broad shoulders, and together they stared at the fire before them as it warmed their bodies, and kindled the love between them.

Water

Yuto ran out of the small changing room in the spa and turned around giddily looking back and forth between the different pools. He spotted Keito sitting contently in the small pool marked “Serenity Pool” and began to run towards him. He jumped into the waters with a splash and smiled at Keito as he stood up and water dripped down from his hair and into the pool. He pouted slightly as Keito bit his lip, but as soon as he did, Keito burst into giggles and pulled Yuto into his arms. They sat down in the pool on a small ledge and they sat in serenity, listening to the running waters of the small waterfall nearby.

Lightning

Watching the lithe boy run was always something Keito had enjoyed. He would always sit in the bleachers and watch as Yuto ran laps around the small track that was at the recreation center. Lately, as Yuto got faster and faster, he had taken to calling him “Lightning Yuto” because when he wore those Yellow tracksuits, he bolted about as if he were just that. This time however, Keito had forgotten to eat before he left the house. Luckily, he had thought to bring a bento. He opened it to find some of Yuto’s favorite, basashi. He had thought about trying it before, and why not now? Lifting a small slice with his chopsticks a sudden tap on his shoulder stopped him. Yuto gave him a questioning look and when Keito turned to look at the food between his chopsticks, he turned back around to explain himself, but Yuto was gone…… when he had turned back around to his meal, the basashi was gone, and yellow blur sped towards the track again. Just like…… lightning.

Music

Smiling to himself, Keito grabbed his prized acoustic guitar from the case in his room. Strumming a gentle tune to himself, he smiled as its pure sounds soothed him. Playing a few bars, he felt suddenly at easy, but as he was about to close his eyes, the strong beat of a drum slammed against him and he jerked to attention. Walking to the small music room he smiled as Yuto sat amongst his drums happily banging out a catchy rhythm. He was so cute when he was this happy that Keito couldn’t bring himself to stop the boy. Shaking his head, Keito grabbed his guitar and began to play along to the same rhythm.

Note

Keito woke up alone that day, Yuto had left early in the morning to go to a drama shooting and would be gone the whole day. It was always on these days that Keito felt so alone in the apartment that he and Yuto had gotten for themselves. Occasionally, he would watch TV, read books, or play with his guitar. This time however, he found a yellow sticky note on the mirror in the bathroom. It told him to find the other nine sticky notes like this hidden through the apartment. He smiled as he recognized Yuto’s handwriting and took off to find the notes. By the end of the day, he had found eight of the nine and pouted as he couldn’t figure out where the last one was. It wasn’t until he walked by a mirror that he saw a glimpse of yellow on his back. Turning he saw that there was the last sticky note he was looking for, right on his back! Carefully he pulled it off and read it. Yuto’s neat handwriting bounced playfully as he told him to turn all the notes over and put them together. After assembling the notes, Keito turned them over to find on the back was a letter, when put together, they spelled out “I Love You” and he laughed cheerfully. The last sticky note remained and he wondered what would be on the reverse side of that one… turning it over, he saw a heart drawn with such care, and in the middle his and Yuto’s name. Holding the last note to his chest, Keito’s smile grew happier and he didn’t feel so alone anymore…

Thunder

Keito walked through the small house that he and Yuto shared, he was worried as he found the small Giraffe that Yuto always carried to bed laying around on the couch downstairs. He walked into Yuto’s room to find the boy on his bed, his body twitching slightly as the rainstorm outside grew harsher and the thunder grew louder. Walking up to the boy’s bedside, he set the giraffe next to Yuto on the bed and gently draped the slender boy’s arm around the stuffed animal and nodded approvingly as the boy snuggled against the soft creature and a contented smile crept across his face. The thunder roared suddenly, causing the sleeping Yuto to grasp the stuffed animal tightly and Keito could only smile at the cute scene. With a gentle brush of his hand against the boy’s soft hair, he sat beside Yuto on the bed and kept him company, assuring him with his occasional touch that even in his dreams, he would protect him from the thunder and everything would be okay.

Thunder roared, but Yuto smiled as he snuggled against his stuffed giraffe protector: Keito.

Pencil

Keito had been scratching his head on the last homework problem on the worksheet for the last hour and a half. No matter what he did nothing made sense! It was about to just give up when Yuto walked by and gave his boyfriend’s homework a glance. With a single flick of his wrist, he picked up the pencil that Keito had cast aside and made a single mark, and suddenly it all became clear. Keito gasped and turned to look at Yuto.

“Don’t use pencils next time, you’ll accidentally erase the important parts of the equations.” Yuto giggled as he walked off, leaving Keito to stare at the pencil in his hand.

Drink

Yamada pouted as Takaki refused to share his strawberry smoothie with him. He frowned as the older boy taunted him with the occasional spoonful of the pink drink. Finally growing angry, he gave Takaki a small kick and stormed out of the room, making the older boy chase after him, claiming it was “just a joke.” Watching this, Keito giggled as he turned around to his own smoothie. The minute he did, his eyes met Yuto’s. The slender boy’s face showed such a cute puppy dog face that Keito was taken aback. Yuto nodded to the smoothie and his expression grew dire, and cuter if that was at all possible. Keito thought for a moment before he reached over to the table beside him and grabbed another straw. Sticking it in on the opposite side of the glass, the two boys sipped the sweet pink drink together and laughed as Yuya hugged Ryosuke, trying to spoon feed the still pouting and angry boy the smoothie a spoonful at a time.

Click

Yuto watched as Keito got on his hands and knees, begging Yuto not to post the picture of him and Yuto on their first date. Keito had been so nervous, he had dressed in quite the strange mismatched outfit. It wasn’t a proud moment in his life, and he didn’t need it to be posted all over the web. After hours of pleading, Yuto agreed and Keito finally got off his hands and knees, happily dancing out of the room. Yuto smiled the picture was just too cute. Putting his hand on the mouse, he moved the pointer to the “post” button………Click.

Breeze

The gentle winds that wafted in from the open windows swept across the small apartment, searching every crevice and grazing every surface. Keito shivered as the cold air brushed against him and he looked around for a blanket or jacket he could put on. Yuto appeared from the kitchen, his body warm from working over the stove for the last hour or so. He strolled over to the shivering form on the couch and wrapped his arms around Keito, hugging him tightly. The warmth flooded from Yuto into Keito’s very core and the older boy smiled as he whispered a silent thanks and gave his boyfriend a kiss. The chime in the window rang gently as another breeze whirled in, but this time, Keito was warm in Yuto’s arms….

Memory

Together they sat on the small two-seater in the middle of the cozy house that had sheltered them for the last 10 years of their marriage. Yuto had just brought in a small tray of tea and Keito pulled out the small album that held their memories. The pair snuggled in as Keito pulled a blanket over them and Yuto hugged the album tightly. He smiled as he felt Keito’s arm around his shoulders and they opened the book and relived the happiest times of their lives.

Angel

Yuto hated this Christmas…… for once, he was all alone for the holidays as Keito had been called away for an emergency shooting for Hyakushiki. As he walked past the Tokyo dome, he looked up at the large tree that stood outside it and scoffed. It was then that he heard a mother telling her son that if he were to make a wish to the angel atop the tree, it would come true. Hearing that he turned to see the most beautiful white angel ornament sitting on the very top of the large, brightly lit tree. He closed his eyes and made a silent wish, not really expecting anything. As he wished, a hand laid on his shoulder and he turned around to find his own angel….. Keito.

Quiet

Over the course of their relationship, Yuto and Keito had developed a sense of… telepathy. The other members of JUMP would simply stare at the two, the room in utter silence as they searched for some way to break into the two boy’s silent understanding. They watched as Keito smiled and Yuto nodded and the two walked away, their hands clasped tightly around each others.

Missing

Everyday Yuto would sit at the small chair that would face the door to their small house. He would sit there from exactly 5 until 6, staring at the door, waiting for it to open. He always felt so lonely during the day, he was waiting, pouting, hoping that Keito would finish work early and come home. Today, Keito had been called into his work for a late meeting, and Yuto sat at the chair still waiting, he looked at the small clock in the corner of the room and it blinked back as it changed to show it was now exactly eight o’clock. Sighing Yuto pulled a small blanket over himself, he curled up against the back of the chair and sighed sadly as a single tear streamed down his cheek. On the table in the dining room, two candles dwindled away and darkness fell upon two plates of lovingly made food and a small card that read: “Happy Anniversary….”

Meals

Keito walked in and sighed as he looked at the small clock and it returned a steady glow that signified it was now 1:25 in the morning. Turning to the living room he frowned as he saw Yuto curled into the small chair, shivering as the blanket had fallen off him and onto the ground. He picked it up and as he folded it and prepared to carry Yuto to bed, he turned his head to see the small dining room, with two plates of his favorite foods waiting under two burnt out candles. Slowly he walked over to it and noticing a small card, he picked it up and read the small neatly scribbled letters, as he picked it up a picture fell out, the picture they had taken together of their first kiss as a couple. Suddenly Keito felt so guilty and he looked at the sweet and innocent boy still curled up in the chair. Apologetically, he nudged his head on Yuto’s shoulders, rubbing his cheek against the sleeping boy’s. Slowly, Yuto awoke and noticing that Keito was home, his eyes brightened as he wrapped his arms around the other boy’s shoulders and hugged him tightly. They held hands as they walked to the dinner table and sat down to the light of two newly lit candles. And even though the food was cold already…… it was the best meal they had ever had.

Uwa, this is my first time writing this type of fic, it was inspired by hotfruits’s 50 word’s 1 sentence. She recommended it and so… I figure I’d try it!
