For quite a while, Ryutaro had been keeping a secret. He had never acted upon any of his impulses, nor any of his yearnings, but now…
“Ahhhhh! I can’t do this anymore!” Ryutaro whined to himself as he landed on his bed and spread his arms and legs as wide as possible. It felt great to finally have a day off where he could just be at home and relax.
“Nii-Chan? Chinen-kun is here to see you…. I’m about to go out!” Shintaro called from downstairs.
“Chinen?” Ryutaro wondered what the older boy wanted…
He heard the gentle thumps that came with every step Yuri took on the stairs, and in a moment, his door opened.
“Ryuu-Chan!” The other boy smiled brightly as he jumped to the side of the bed, and debating whether or not to sit on Ryutaro’s lap or the soft bed.
“….”
“What?”
“You know my bed is just… right here right?” Ryutaro glared slightly as he bobbed his legs up and down a little with Chinen on them.
“This is better…” Chinen giggled.
“Anyway…. What’s going on? I thought today was our day off… Or… was it? Ah! Did I miss practice!? Is Yabu-kun mad!?” Ryutaro panicked as he imagined the older boy staring him down when he saw him next.
“Haha! Calm down Ryuu-Chan.. I’m just here to visit… “
“O-Oh….” With his worries gone, Ryutaro returned to his original state, and he fell back against the bed again, this time his legs still anchored to the floor by Chinen’s body.
“Whats wrong this time?” The older boy asked
“W-What do you mean?” Ryutaro got up on his elbows again.
“I know when you sigh like that somethings bothering you… now what is it?”
“Nothing!”
“Ryuu-Chan….”
“It’s nothing! I promise!”
“Ryuuuutarooooo!” Chinen jumped up and down on Ryutaro’s lap
“Ow! Okay okay! I’ll tell you! Jeez….” Ryutaro winced as he felt the older boy settle into a comfortable position again.
“Its… its.. that problem.. again…”
“Still!? You haven’t done anything about that!? I thought you had given up already! It’s been what… two years now!” Chinen’s eyes widened.
“Well.. er… it’s not that Im NOT moving on….its.. just that… its hard…. You know..”
“Oh my goodness… why don't you just be straightforward and tell Dai-Chan that you like him! It’s just that easy!”
“Oh cause YOU have room to talk…” Ryutaro sat up straight again, giving his friend a glare.
“What are you talking about?”
“Oh really? C’mon, you’re going to make me say it? It’s so obvious…”
“What are you talking about!? I really don’t know!”
“It’s SOOOO obvious that you like Yuto….”
“W-W-Whaaat!?”
“See! Right there! Every time someone says his name, you perk up and then get all flustered and stutter. Which I guess is better than when he’s actually here…. Then you just kinda shut up all together…” Ryutaro giggled now as he thought about it
“Ah.. I.. don't know w-what you’re talking about.” Chinen insisted still.
“Oh? Hey Yuto!”
Chinen’s back sat up straight as his eyes widened to look in the direction Ryutaro waved, his eyes found…….. nothing.
“See! You did it just now!” The younger boy pointed, only to have his hand slapped down by Chinen’s.
“I… it would have been rude… to not greet him… that’s all… y-yeah… that’s all.” The little boy nodded now as he looked at the disbelieving look on Ryutaro’s face.
“Hi Yuto…. We were just talking about you…” Ryutaro waved again.
“Nice try… I’m not falling for that again…” Chinen glared angrily, but his expression lightened as a hand placed itself upon his shoulder.
“Fall for what? And… about me? Why?” Yuto smiled brightly as the two boys stared at him in disbelief.
“Why are you guys looking at me like that for? I ran into Shin-Chan and he told me you guys were here, and he was coming back for his wallet anyway so… tadahh…. Did… i… interrupt something?” Yuto’s radiance faded a bit as he looked a bit apologetic.
“Nope, we were just…. talking.” Ryutaro replied as he fell back on the bed again and his mind ran to Daiki yet again.
Chinen merely nodded, his jaw had frozen shut and despite his attempts to make it open, it refused…. Adamantly.
“About what?”
“About…. Things….” Ryutaro didn't really want to relive the conversation he had just had with Chinen. Yuto, feeling a bit intrusive nodded throughtfully before standing up.
“Ja… would you guys like to come with me? Me, Dai-Chan, Keito and Inoo are going to go out to the park to get some fresh air… play some music.. who knows.” Yuto shrugged as Chinen nodded fiercely.
“Well…..I don't know….” To this, the younger boy felt the tension in Chinen’s legs as he prepared to pounce on his lap again.
“OW! Okay! I’ll go!” Ryutaro winced again as he felt a heavy weight land onto him again.
“I guess…. That's a yes then… haha” Yuto laughed as Chinen continued nodding.
After a few minutes, Yuto went downstairs to make a phone call, while Ryutaro changed out of his house clothes and Chinen sighed in relief.
“See what I mean… you didn't say a single word….” Ryutaro commented knowingly, slipping his shirt on at the same time.
“Whatever! The problem is not me! It’s YOU! You’ve got to tell Dai-Chan that you like him!”
“Yeah… easier said…. He doesn't really seem to want to be around me… lately he’s been off on his own, and whenever we DO see each other he “kinda” waves, and I “kinda” wave back… and then he dashes off….” Ryutaro sighed.
“Awe…. Is little Ryuu-Chan feeling dejected?” Chinen giggled as he leaned on Ryutaro’s shoulder, gently poking his cheek.
“I wish Yuto were back in here..”
“Because he’s so cute?” Chinen blurted out, his hands flew to his lips in surprise.
“No… so you’d shut up, but after that, I think you’re doing a good job on your own…” Ryutaro walked out of the room, the older boy following close behind, his hands still tightly pressed against his mouth, as if afraid something else might slip out.
“Are you guys ready?” Yuto asked as he straightened his jacket and put away his cell phone.
“Yep…. Let’s go….” Ryutaro replied, Chinen nodded again.
“Are you okay, Chii-Chan? You haven’t said a single word this entire time…” Yuto frowned
“I-I’m f-f-fine..” Chinen squeaked before falling back ashamedly behind Ryutaro.
The walk to the park was a quiet one, and for that Ryutaro was thankful. He took the time to take into consideration the things that Chinen had been telling him. What if things really were just that simple?
“Nah…” Ryutaro shook his head, trying to get rid of the image of Daiki jumping ecstatically when he said the words to him. It most certainly wouldn’t be like that…
The park welcomed them with its open gate and lush green hills, peppered only with flecks of soft green and purple flowers. Yuto walked calmly past the small children that glared carefully at them. They were ready to pounce if any of the “big boys” decided to steal their toys…
“This is the small hill that we usually go to … if you guys wanna come find us when we come here.. there’s a small pavilion on the other side that we’ve used for grilling…. “ Yuto explained as the first figure game into view on the horizon. Keito was standing with a guitar in his arms, his hips slightly cocked as he talked to a whining Inoo about why he had to carry a heavy Guitar case.
“Oi! Yuto! You’re here!” Daiki called out, as the two boys turned to look at them. Almost immediately, Inoo ran down the small hill and pushed the Guitar into Yuto’s arms.
“Ur Guitar is toooo heavy!” He whined as he ran back and Yuto laughed, pulling the instrument from its case.
“H-Hello Dai-Chan…” Ryutaro waved, a little unsure. The older boy turned around and nodded, before going back to his business.
“See…” Ryutaro whispered to Chinen who nodded.
“Dai-Chan…. Uh… Ryutaro was… showing me something… it was SO interesting… you have to see it!” Chinen perked up, grabbing Daiki’s hand and pulling him over.
“Show him over there Ryuu-Chan!” He said, pushing the two of them out to the side of the group.
“W-Wha…” Ryutaro gave the other boy a glare
“Yuto! Chinen has something to say to you!” He called out before he turned back around to face Daiki. Chinen gave a deathstare before his mouth tensed up again when the taller boy placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Yes Chii?”
-----
“What is it Ryutaro?” Daiki asked,
“Uh…. W-well…”
“Hm?”
“Er… I… uh.. saw…. Something….”
“And?”
“Erhm… I… was… reminded of you.”
“And… ?” Daiki furrowed his eyebrows now.
“A-And…. Uh…”
“Ryutaro, if you don't have anything to show me I’m going back..” Daiki shuffled his feet impatiently
Ryutaro scrambled for something to talk about, but all that popped into his head was Daiki. And he couldn't help but blush.
“Whatever Ryutaro.” Daiki said as he turned and walked back to the group, and the younger boy’s shoulders slumped. Looks like this wasn't’ going to be easy. Not that it ever was….
Crestfallen, Ryutaro stumbled his way back to the rest of the boys and sat in silence as he poked at the ground with a branch he had found.
“I hate you..” Chinen suddenly appeared beside him.
“And how did yours go?”
“OH great…. I just stood there like an idiot for fifteen minutes as Yuto kept asking if I was okay. Gah! I must look like such a weirdo to him now..” Chinen pouted.
“Mine didn’t go so well either…..”
“Oi oi! You two! The food’s ready, are you two going to join us or sit here and poke things into the ground?” Inoo asked, holding in his hands a skewer of cooked meats. When the two youngest members of JUMP looked back at him he stumbled a little as they both looked like they were about to cry. He sighed and finished the skewer before walking over to them, he could never ignore those big puppy-dog crying eyes.
“Okay….. whats wrong now?”
“Dai-Chan hates me…..” Ryutaro sniffled
“Yuto thinks I’m weird….” Chinen followed.
“Er…. O-okay….”
“Don't know what to do…” The two sniffling boys said in unison
“Don't tell me…. this is because you like Daiki and you like Yuto.” Inoo raised an eyebrow. Their silence gave him the answer he needed and he sighed.
“Ryuu-chan, Dai-chan doesn't hate you, I don't know why you’d think that…. I think he’s just a bit jealous, haha I mean recently…. You have pretty much outgrown him by a head.” Kei chuckled before turning to Chinen.
“And you Mr. Buckets-o-confidence, I don't know why you’d think Yuto thinks you’re weird when he obviously thinks you’re so adorable. Why is it that you’d readily to pole vaulting, and track or backflips but when you see Yuto, all that confidence goes out the window?”
Neither of the two younger boys knew what to say, instead they just nodded their heads and Inoo sighed again.
“If you really want this thing to work out, you’ve gotta just come clean, tell them and see what happens.”
“But wh-what if they say no?” Ryutaro asked, his mind already reeling at the thought of being so blunt.
“Then they say no, and you can rest assured that you tried. You know….. I did confess to Hikaru once…..” Inoo said leaning over slightly and knocking the Ryutaro’s shoulders.
“Wh-what!?”
“Haha…. Well… for a while I was so sure that I liked Hikaru, so one day after a concert…. I pulled him to a corner and I told him. Unfortunately for me…. at the time He and Yabu were still secretly dating so…. I got turned down…” Inoo sighed looking at his fingers again.
“But…. you’re with Keito now…right?”
“Un! And I couldn’t be happier. I cant help but think if I hadn’t told Hikaru, I would be wondering what my life would be like if I was with Hika-Chan, and that wouldn’t be fair to Keito would it?” Inoo asked as he gave the boys a pat on the back.
“Just do your best, and in the end, it’ll all work out.” Inoo smiled happily as he realized how funny Young Love could be.
The rest of the small picnic went over without much trouble, Chinen avoided staring Yuto in the eyes, and Ryutaro stumbled his words to Daiki. They both breathed a sign of relief when they were out of earshot of the park and shook their head.
Back at home, Ryutaro laid on his bed again, thinking about the failure that he had committed just minutes before. He could just see himself fidgeting as he struggled to come up with “something” to talk to Daiki about. Then his mind flew to what Inoo-said and he sighed. They all made it sound so easy, why did it have to be so difficult for him alone?
Just as Ryutaro was about to doze off to sleep, his phone rang and feeling groggy, he opted not to answer it and instead turned and covered his ears with the pillows. He could still hear the long rings of his cellphone, but they were bound to stop….. eventually.
The phone rang once… twice… three times… four… five..
“Mou! What!?” Ryutaro grabbed the phone and practically yelled into the receiver.
“R-Ryuu-Chan! H-Help…. I… I…” Chinen’s voice was panicky on the phone and Ryutaro perked up from his groggy state immediately.
“Whats wrong Chi? Where are you? Whats happening?”
“Y-Yuto… “
“Yuto? What about Yuto?”
“Y-Yuto… is… coming… to stay…a…at my house…for… two days..” Chinen’s voice quivered.
“O-Oh……OH!” Ryutaro’s eyes widened as he suddenly realized what the boy was nervous about.
“You’ve got to help me… please Ryuu-Chan? Pleeeeeeaase! I-I just know, that I’m going to make a fool out of myself if I don't have someone to watch out for me. I don't want him to think I’m any weirder than he already does!” Chinen grasped the phone tighter and Ryutaro could hear the plastic protesting his treatment.
“Me? What am I going to do? I don't know how to help you with Yuto when I cant even solve my own love problems….” Ryutaro’s shoulders fell at his own statements. It was certainly quite another thing to listen hear it out loud.
“B-But I don't have anyone else I can turn to! You’re the ONLY one who understands…. You know…. Why…. I cant really.. talk to him…”
‘Because you’re nearvous?”
“N-No! B-Because I… like… him…..” Chinen whispered the last part and Ryutaro could see the older boy now, He would be standing but one foot would be dancing on its tip as he swung it back and forth like a schoolgirl, and his fingers would be absent mindedly twiddling the cord of his house phone….
“B-Because…. I like him… like you like Dai-Chan….” Chinen said again, this time a little more conviction found its way into the words.
Ryutaro couldn't very well deny that point….
“O-Ohkay Chii, I’ll be there soon.” Ryutaro hung up and he sighed as he laid there for a moment before standing up and shaking his head. He got dressed and walked to Chinen’s house just a few minutes away and he wondered why Yuto was suddenly keen on spending the night…
“Ryuu-Chan! Ahh Thank youuuu!” Chinen nearly tackled him when he arrivd.
“Whoa… uh…. Chii…”
“Sorry… but he’s coming he’s coming!” Chinen was still jumping as he dragged him into the house, which from what Ryutaro could tell, had been cleaned over more than usual.
“But if he does come… and your lips lock up again………” Ryutaro casually mentioned, and Chinen froze again.
“B-But if that happens…. You’ll help me right Ryuu-Chan? I mean…. You’re almost in the same situation… right? You know how I feel about him….. “ The older boy’s shoulders drooped a little. Ryutaro smiled weakly as he thought about his own feelings for Daiki and walked over to the couch and patted his friend’s back.
“Yeah… I know how you feel…”
THe hours ticked away as the two boys had their strategy meeting… but just as things began to settle into their own, the doorbell rang and neither moved to answer.
“Chii, go answer the door…” Ryutaro nudged
“But…”
A brief glare from Ryutaro made him take a deep breath and get up. He paused only for a moment before setting his hand on the knob and turned it.
“Hi Chii! Thanks for taking me in, I had arrangements to stay at Takaki’s but apparently the fell through.” Yuto said as he walked in carrying a bag of his things.
“U-Un..!” Chinen nodded, his eyes never left Yuto.
“And Ryutaro! You’re here too!” Yuto smiled brightly as he set his things down on one of the sofas.
“Er… yeah… just for tonight…er… Shintaro’s not feeling well, and my parents think it might just be a bug… so I’m just here for tonight…… yeah…” Ryutaro nodded, thinking to himself that this story sounded LESS made up when he and Chinen had rehearsed it.
“Chii-Chan? Have you eaten yet? I could cook us up something, since your family is away with your father right?” Once again Chinen nodded, his jaw had locked shut again…
When Yuto disappeared into the kitchen, Ryutaro walked up to the older boy who at once relaxed when Yuto was out of the room.
“You know… you’ve really gotta get a hang on that…. you cant just shut up every time he talks to you… this is going to go nooowhere…. “
“But…. I mean… its just…. its Yuto! And… And I don't know…. I’ve always kinda been following him… and he’s just…. well he’s just…..” Chinen looked so defeated as he tried to say what was in his heart.
Dinner was quiet that night, as every time Yuto asked a question, Chinen could only answer with gestures… or nods…. And Ryutaro had to cover for him, answering questions the way he felt Chinen would. Though it was clear at the end that Yuto had given up asking. He slowly put away the plates as the two younger boys talked in the living room.
“Why cant you ever talk! That was so awkward in there! He wanted to hear you, not me….” Ryutaro said as he shook Chinen a little.
“I-I’m sorry! Every time… every time I look at him I just cant…. Bring myself to say anything! Its like my throat closes up… “
“Well don't you just have… so much that you want to say? Don't you!?” Ryutaro’s voice cracked as he began feeling confused as to who he was lecturing.
“Ryu-Chan..”
“What is it.. what is it that I… that YOU want to say to him?”
“I.. I like him…” Chinen mumbled
“Louder!”
“I.. I like Yuto!”
“What!?”
“I LOVE YUTO!” Chinen shouted now, and the two boys jumped as the sounds of a cup shattering on the ground made them turn around.
Yuto stood in the doorway his eyes wide and his hand frozen in midair where the cup had once been in his grasp.
“Y-Yuto!?” Chinen stumbled as he rushed to the boy’s side.
“I-I didn't mean for you to find out lke this!” Chinen said hurriedly, trying to somehow ease the situation.
“C-Chii…” Yuto was quiet for a while as he stood still, frozen by the words that had just pierced his heart.
“I… I’m mean… Yuto… I… well… I uh… I.. like you… and… I was hoping that… you felt the same…..a-and if not! I will… take it back a-and we’ll pretend this never happened ne?” Chinen stumbled as his voice rose and fell with his fleeting heart.
Yuto said nothing.
“Yu-Yuto… Yuto-kun… p-please.. say something?” Chinen was writhing in silence, and Ryutaro didn't know what to do to help him.
“I… I undestand that you don't like me! I’m- I’m sorry! I ever said anyth-“ Yuto’s hand moved quickly to the lithe boy’s chin as he turned around and placed a kiss that silenced Chinen’s stuttering.
For a few brief tender moments, Ryutaro saw before him, the story of unfolding love that he wanted for himself. Chinen had found it. And all it took… was a simple phrase. “I love you.”
“I… love you too…. Chii-Chan.” Yuto said breathlessly as they parted and hearing the circle complete, Ryutaro felt moved. He ran to the door, pausing only in time to grab his jacket before leaving the door to slam of its own accord.
“W-What was that about? Did we scare him off?” Yuto asked worriedly.
“No… I think…. He’s just… figured out a problem.” Chinen smiled as he wrapped his arms around Yuto’s skinny waist and he pressed his ear against his chest, to listen to the wonderful harmony of their hearts beating together.
“Good luck Ryuu-Chan.”
-----
Ryutaro ran as fast as he could and he felt himself getting no where, his body may have been running, but his mind was still a jumble of thoughts. All it had taken was a simple phrase. “I love you.” And Chinen had found what he had been yearning for all along.
Would… just being true to his feelings really be enough?
“A-ah!” Ryutaro jumped as he felt a wetness hit his neck. Looking up, he saw the dark skies in his mind become reality, and the rain that was threatening to burst forward at any moment. His body told him to go home, and his mind told him to keep running.
Turning, Ryutaro ran as fast as he could, the rain poured steadily now upon him, and his bangs drifted lazily in front of his eyes as he ran. Finally, his feet stopped and he stared at the house,..
He opened the gate that was never locked and walked up to the door, leaving his breath to return to normal. He rung the doorbell and stood in wait. The minute the door opened, Ryutaro’s eyes looked down, and he couldn't bring himself to look back up.
“Ryutaro? What are you doing here? And what are you doing outside without an umbrella in this weather?” Daiki asked as he stood in the door way.
“Ryu-Chan? Is there something wrong? Hello?”
“Ryutaro? Is everything okay? Why aren’t you saying anything? Did something bad happen?” Daiki began to get more and more concerned, it must have been something terrible..
“Ryutaro, tell me what happe-“ Daiki’s eyes widened with surprise as the sopping wet boy ran forward and pounced on him. The pair fell backward, knocking the door wide open and landed on the floor with their lips locked together.
“M-mnnn!” Daiki tried to say something, but Ryutaro wouldn't let up, and eventually, Daiki’s eyes closed as he accepted the kiss and his heart melted.
“I… love you… Dai-Chan.” Ryutaro panted breathlessly, now knowing the true meaning of a kiss that “takes your breath away.”
Daiki’s eyes never moved as they stared into the big brown eyes that had just confessed their love for him. The wet hair that hung from that adorable face dripped around him, and the wet body atop him all sunk in, and he was amazed…
“Ryu-t-taro…”
“I love you so much Dai-Chan, I’ve loved you ever since I saw you, and I’ve loved you from the bottom of my heart, even if you don't feel the same, I had to tell you… a-and… I’m sorry I kissed you so suddenly like that.” Ryutaro said as he began to stand up and turn to leave.
“W-Wait…” Daiki stood up slowly, his entire white shirt was drenched with the rain from Ryutaro’s body and his chest became visible.
“Y-You don't have to say anything…” Ryutaro said in a low tone, he didn't expect much more than heartbreak…
“I…just always feel so jealous.. that you’re so much younger than me, and yet… you’re so well adjusted, so calm.. and so tall. It’s just this thing that I have…. This insecurity about my height. That's.. why I was so mean to you… I’m sorry…But….”
“It’s okay… I understand.” Ryutaro nodded as he felt daggers stab into his heart. He turned to leave once more, only this time to feel someone grab his wrist.
“But…. I think… I could get over that…” Daiki said, and Ryutaro turned to see the older boy grinning broadly. That smile relaxed Ryutaro’s tensions and he smiled, for the first time genuinely happy. Daiki pulled him over by the wrist as he placed a single warm hand against Ryutaro’s cheek and leaned in.
“But let’s do this first part of our relationship right…” He whispered as he pressed their lips together, and Rytutaro felt his knees tremble , and his body begin to fall. Just as he was about to collapse, Daiki’s arm wrapped around him and pulled him closely, pressing his cool rain-slicked form against his warm body and Ryutaro fell into the kiss head on. He had done it……..!
“But for the record…” Daiki said as he temporarily broke them apart.
“W-What?”
“For the record, I’m the tall one in this relationship…” He grinned as Ryutaro laughed and nodded.
“Hai, you’re the tall one. My Dai-Chan…” Ryutaro blushed as Daiki nodded and leaned forward again……
-----
“Ohhh the new pair in JUMP! Ladies and gentlemen! I present to you YutoChii!” Hikaru announced loudly in JUMP’s rehearsal room, only to receive a whack on the head from Yabu.
“That was the stupidest thing….” Kota shook his head as his voice trailed off.
“Owie… Kou-Chan! You promised you wouldn’t hit me if we started dating!”
“You’re the one who made me promise, and You’re the one who promised to stop making bad jokes if I agreed to go out with you!”
“B-But… that’s the way I am though….” Hikaru bowed sheepishly as the eldest in JUMP sighed.
“Nuuu! My Kou-Chan! Don’t give me that look!” Hikaru pounced on the couch and snuggled up to his boyfriend, and though he couldn’t see it, to everyone else in the room, Yabu was smiling so happily. He reached back behind him with an arm and brushed gently against the other boy’s cheek and gave him a kiss to assure him that everything was fine between them.
“Yuto-Kun… you think we’ll be like that one day?” Chinen asked, wrapping his arm around his newly found boyfriend.
“I think… we’ll be better than that one day.” Yuto replied confidently and leaned over for a small peck on the cheek.
“Hm.. wheres Ryutaro? He’s usually the first to arrive for rehearsal.” Keito asked worriedly
“Yeah… so long as he doesn't get here later than Dai-Chan we’ll be fine…” Yabu said
Just as they were talking, the door to the studio’s changing room opened to find Ryutaro and Daiki. The younger boy resting contently in the older’s arms.
“UWA!?!!!” The entire room gasped and recoiled at the sight of them.
“Hey guys…..” Daiki nodded.
“JUMP’s NEWEST COUPLE! Ladies and gentlemen I present to you! DaiRyu!” Hikaru shouted cheerfully and received another whack on the head.
“Owie…..” He whimpered again as he curled up to Yabu.
Ryutaro and Daiki both giggled a little, and blushed as they heard their relationship be announced like that.
“Congratulations Ryuu-Chan.” Chinen grinned as he walked out of the room with a overly peppy Yuto by his side.
“Don't be late for rehearsal now.. you two can save the making out for afterwards….” Yabu said as the rest of JUMP left the two who had just arrived alone.
Ryutaro smiled as each of his friends passed him. They all knew, and they all congratulated him with their knowing smiles.
“Jya… I think…. We should get changed…” Daiki said as he wrapped an arm around Ryutaro.
“Haha yeah… “ And Ryutaro leaned in for a kiss to find Daiki’s finger in the way.
“Yabu-kun said to save the making out for later…” He teased.
“But…. I want just a little bit now….” The younger boy pouted and Daiki couldn't resist but give him the most tender kiss that took his breath away.
“I love you….”
