"You know... there are days where I wish that I wasn't an "idol", it would make things a lot easier. I could live a normal life, have a normal working schedule...." Yuto thought to himself as he walked home in the dark after a rehearsal. On his way home he stopped by the convenience store and bought a drink, taking care to avoid the drinks in front that were always handled by the employee who didn't care what he was doing. Lately, he had taken notice of all the little things around him. The way the grasses bent with the wind, the small lady on the corner who always drops her cell phone when she gets on the bus, and then there was Keito. He was beginning to notice alot about the boy lately, the way he was so softspoken, yet each word he spoke had such an impact, the way he would always gently wipe down his guitar after practices and set it into its case.
"Stop thinking about it already and get home jeez!" His mind said to himself.
"Uwa It's going to be one of those nights again" Yuto said to himself, pulling closed the door to his house.
"I can't believe it took us 3 hours to get that one number right!" he yelled out so that everyone in his house would know that he's home. No one answered.
"Huh, I guess they're all asleep, gomenasaiiii" He wispered the last part, and dashed into his room.
"Good thing I already showered at the studio cause I am BEAT" he said changing into his sleep clothes and jumping into covers.
"To another day!" He mentally cheered himself and snuggled into the cushions.
The next day Yuto woke up, and still groggily he looked around, everything had changed! Where were all the scripts for his dramas that he had so carefully put into his bookcase? Where were all the posters and uchiwas with his face on them that he had to sign before the next concert? He looked at the alarm clock at the side of his bed.
"AHH! It's 10 already!? I'm so late! Today's rehearsal was supposed to start an hour ago! Yama chan's gonna have my head for this!" He said, throwing on a green t-shirt and brown shorts. He ran out of his room to find plates of food on the table with a small note:
"Yuto,
This was the first time I've seen you sleep so peacefully, so I decided to let you sleep in. We've gone out for the day and may not be back in time for dinner. You always said you loved being alone in the house didnt you? Maybe this is the time to cherish some alone-time.
P.S. - Don't forget, you have to meet with that nice Okamoto boy at 10:30 today!
- Mom"
Yuto stared at the note, usually he received notes more along the lines of "GO TO REHEARSAL" and "GANBATTE!" (Do your best!). This was strange. What on earth happened? While thinking all this, Yuto absent mindedly began putting bits of food into his mouth, chewing, but forgetting to swallow. His eyes fixated upon the mirror before him. Then his eyes widened, yesterday he said he wished he wasn't an idol! Maybe it happened! Then his eyes widened even more,
"10:30!" He shouted, his mouth stuffed with food, and dropped his chopsticks and bolted out the door.
He and Keito's usual meeting spot was a small ornate bench in the park between their two homes, at least that's what it was when they were part of HSJ.
"I hope that hasn't changed" Yuto thought as he biked the short few minutes to the park, his grip on the handlebars growing tighter as he got closer.
As the park's small iron gate came into sight, he heard a familiar voice, floating in the air.

"Sekaii hitosu dake no hana..." Keito sang, strumming his guitar as he gazed at the children playing in front of him. He was enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. It was only here that he could truly find a place to relax and let go. He smiled and looked down at his hands, paying attention to his wrists, making sure that they aligned perfectly to play each note. As his hands glided up and down, strumming without too much thought on his part, he smiled and a gust of wind blew his hair back, revealing both sparkling brown eyes.
"Keito! I'm so sorry I'm late! I woke up late, and I had this weird dream that we weren't in HSJ, and then I had to eat breakfast and I was staring at the....mirror... what?" Yuto noticed the way Keito stared at him blankly, blinking in confusion.
"Yuto, you always have the strangest dreams, what's HSJ? And... you're always waking up late!" Keito laughed as he set aside his guitar and stood up. He put his hands on the taller boy's shoulders and grasped firmly.
"Calm down, you're here on time for once. Let's sit down okay?" He slowly sat back down on the bench, Yuto followed suit.
"Wait, I wanted to live a normal life, because of him, because I wanted so much to say what I couldn't in the public eye, now's my chance!" Yuto thought.
"Hey, Keito?"
"Hm?"
"There's been something, that I've been meaning to tell you."
"What's that? I figured you didn't really want to learn Guitar, since you were getting so pumped about Drums"
"I uh...."
Just at that moment, a ball came flying from the side and smacked Yuto on the head.
"AH! Gomenasai!" A little boy came running, giving the pair a small bow and an apologetic smile.
"It's okay, he may not look it, but the skinny boy is actually very tough." Keito laughed and picked up the ball and knelt down, patting the boy on the head. As the boy ran towards his friends again, Keito stood up and looked at Yuto sitting on the bench, one eye still closed, wincing from the ball's impact.
"Itai.... oww" He said, rubbing his head. Keito smiled and sat down next to him, taking Yuto's head into his hands.
"Let me take a look at it, hopefully it didn't hit you too hard. Yuto, lie down on the bench, you're too tall for me to see anything!" He laughed.
As Yuto lay there, his head in Keito's lap, he looked at the tree branches above him, it was just his luck that the minute he worked up an ounce of courage to say something, the world would send a ball flying his way.
"Yuto-kun, are you okay? I've been talking to you for the last few minutes, and you've been staring at the tree above us, I didn't think it hit you that hard did it?" Keito looked worried.
"I'm fine, really, but about what I was saying. Keito... I really... really... REALLY...."
"Really what?"
Yuto couldn't stand it anymore and on an impulse wrapped his hands around Keito and held on tightly.
"I really, REALLY like you." He didn't let up on his embrace, and instead, felt a pair of hands wrap around his back as well.
"And I like you..." Keito said, closing his eyes and the two stayed like that for what seemed like an eternity.
"I can't believe I said it" Yuto said, not particularly to anyone.
"I can't believe you said it before I did." Keito said
The two broke their embrace and Yuto stood up.
"Well, I am rather brave aren't I?" Yuto felt proud as he cocked his hips one direction and his head in the other.
"Haha, yes you are. I love how you're so free, and I love how you're so honest." Keito laughed and his eyes beamed as Yuto showed his goofy little smile.
"I take it, you didn't actually call me here for a guitar lesson? Cause I hauled an extra guitar all the way from home you know?" Keito frowned as he picked up the second guitar he had been hiding behind the bench.
"Actually, for one of my dramas, I had to learn the basics so.... I know how to play a bit.... b-but I'm sure I would love to learn from you!" Yuto said, sitting down and putting his hand on the English boy's leg.
"Well, alright, but first, lets see how much you know, think you can keep up?" Keito gave a mischevious grin.
"Bring it! Loser buys dinner!" Yuto stuck out his hand.
"Was that your not-so-subtle way of asking me out for the first time?"
"Did it work?"
"Yes..." Keito put the strap over his head and started strumming the first few notes of his song.
Yuto smiled and gave a small "Yesh!" and proceded to strum the same notes. The two harmonized, not just in the music they were playing, but eventually in the way they thought. Half way through, Yuto broke up into a melody that was so beautifully intertwined with Keito's own that they drew a crowd. The pair closed their eyes, letting their minds and shared hearts play a song that symbolized their feelings. As the leaves fell from the ever growing wind the sounds got louder, the waves of music crashed over the crowd and washed the two boys in aboslute euphoria. When the song was over, they opened their eyes to the sound of everyone in the park clapping their hands, shouting "encore!"
"I guess we're pretty good together arent we?" Keito said shyly, over the crowd.
"Yeah, I guess" Yuto said.
"I want you to have this, it's one of my favorite guitar picks, I bought one, but the package it came in somehow had two, and I think this way, you could always have a little bit of me with you. Is that... okay?" Keito said, he was beginning to feel a bit braver.
"un!" Yuto nodded as he gratefully accepted the gift, clutching it tightly in his hand.
"YUTO!" Keito shouted as something flew by him and hit Yuto in the face.

"HUH! What!?" Yuto sat up straight in his bed. A pillow just hit him.
"YUUTO Wake up! You're going to be late for rehearsal again!" His little brother was hitting him over and over again with the pillow.
"I'm up now, you dont have to hit me anymore... Wait, was it... a dream?" Yuto grabbed his bedsheets, trying to get a grip. He felt something hard in his hand, and lifted it up to find, a single guitar pick.
"What.......happened?" He said, looking blankly at the wall infront of him.
"What...." His voice trailed off into silence.
