Three Days - Part 2 of 3

Sep 13, 2009 01:29

The next morning, Yuto woke up to find his bed empty again, and he frowned as he stretched out on the mattress. He turned around to see Keito walk out of the bathroom, a towel on his head clad in just his boxers. As the older boy finished toweling off his hair he looked up to see Yuto staring intently at him.

“Good morning, whacha lookin’ at?” Keito asked playfully.

“Just at how beautiful you are…” Yuto sighed as he rested his head on his hands

“Always a sweet talker with that mouth aren’t you…?”

“You know it…”

Yuto leaned in and kissed Keito as the older boy stood up and slipped on his pants for the day

“You’d better take your shower, we’ve got a lot to do today, a lot to see.” Keito said

“Un!’ Yuto nodded as he got up and walked into the bathroom, and again the familiar scent of Keito washed into his nostrils and he smiled.

The two grabbed a simple breakfast of just toast and eggs that Keito whipped up with the small stove in the suite, and after grabbing their things, left the hotel, holding hands as usual.

The first stop of the day was a music store they had always wanted to visit, but never found the time for. In that small store they sat for hours on end, listening to music on the small headphones and giggling to each other as they tickled each other while listening to their songs.

“I love you Yuto Nakajima…” Keito said as they both fell against a beanbag chair in the corner of the store, completely worn out from running around the store, dodging each other’s “tickle attacks”.

“I love when you say that… and I love you Keito Okamoto..”

“I’ll say it whenever you want me to.. however many times you want me to. I LOV-” Keito said a bit louder as Yuto giggled and quickly put his hand of Keito’s mouth.

“That’s so embarrassing… donnnt.” Yuto whined playfully and blushed

“Aww.. you’re so cute when you’re embarrassed… look at those rosy cheeks.” Keito smiled as he pinched and poked his boyfriend’s soft cheeks.

Finally, after making their purchases at the store, the two boys walked just a few more blocks to the nearby mall and walked in.

“Well, one of the other things on our list was to go on a shopping spree together wasn't it?” Keito asked

“You know… it’s in my wallet we can look, what did we say we wanted to buy?” Yuto furrowed his eyebrows as be pulled out a small sheet of paper from his wallet. There, neatly scrawled on the sheet was Keito’s neat hand writing,

“Buy matching necklaces.” The list stated.

The two boys smiled at each other and walked towards the jewelry section of the mall. They finally found a shop that sold simply designed necklaces and as they walked in the store owner greeted them warmly.

“Welcome! Can I help you with anything today?”

“Well… um.. you see… me and my boyfriend here… were looking for some necklaces…” Keito said bluntly

“Matching necklaces…” Yuto added

“Ah I see, well, I may have just the thing, this has recently come into being popular, but I have here, a customizable necklace! All you do is select the design you want and the necklaces can be made to your liking..” The store owner pulled out a book, showing the many designs. Both Keito and Yuto browsed through the book and after some debate, agreed upon getting a single pendant that could be split in half. The circular pendant would have a heart inscribed in it, and on Keito’s side the letter Y would be put in, and K for Yuto’s side. Together the ends of the pendants would magnetize and form a completed circle with a heart in the middle bearing the first letter of their names.

“Great, this design is simple and should be complete by later tonight, if you’d like me to have it delivered…” Keito nodded as he gave the man the location of the hotel and their room number.

“Uwa… that took longer than I thought it would ne?” Yuto sighed as the sky through the mall’s glass ceiling was dark now.

“But we’ll finally be able to cross it off our list right?”  Keito smiled as he handed the paper back to Yuto with the task crossed off.

“Un! Lets just get something simple and go back to the hotel ne?” Yuto offered as he held Keito’s hand again and the two boys walked out in the direction of the convenience store near the hotel.

“Ne ne, this place sells ingredients! We can cook something simple tonight!” Keito jumped excitedly as he looked at the foods the store offered.

“Ehh~ But I’m bad at cooking…” Yuto frowned

“Then I’ll cook for you..” Keito smiled as he put vegetables and packages of spices into  the small basket he was carrying.

As soon as they arrived at the hotel, Keito set to work in the small kitchen, as Yuto sat on a stool behind the counter, watching with awe as the older boy moved back and forth, throwing this and that into the pans, skillfully and quickly chopping vegetables.

“Sugoi… Keito…” Yuto sighed as he smiled. He felt just like a lover in a drama at this moment. He felt all warm inside as he watched the meal Keito was making for him come together. This was one of those moments where Yuto understood…. This… was love.

“Dinner’s ready!” Keito jumped as he placed the fruits of his labor on the table and lit a single candle in the center. Yuto smiled as he jumped off the stool and took his place at the small table.

“Arigatou… Keito, it looks delicious.”

“Haha, it’s nothing much, just a few dishes I know Yuu-chan likes, I hope I made them okay…” Keito frowned as he took a bit onto his plate.

“It’s great!” Yuto cried out as his mouth exploded in flavors of marvelous depth and richness.

“MMhmm” The older boy nodded, his mouth stuffed full of food.

After a marvelous dinner, the two boys retired to the couch again, they brought out a single large blanket from the bedroom and pulled it over themselves as they cuddled opposite the gentle glow of the TV. After a few channel changes, they had finally decided on watching a scary movie.

“Ahh!” Yuto would occasionally jump as a scene went on, he buried his head in Keito’s chest as he did so, too scared to look again until Keito told him it was safe. Sometimes, he didn’t really want to look again, he felt so comfortable and warm in Keito’s embrace.

“Yuto, it’s okay now…” Keito whispered as the younger boy would turn his head again, still keeping his arms around his boyfriend. Truth be told, Keito thought it was rather cute how innocent Yuto was, the way his eyes would flash with terror as the scenes went by, the way that he would shake with anticipation as the suspense built up, and even the way he would whimper a little when a particularly scary scene popped up.As the movie went on, the two boys fell asleep on the couch, contented and safe in each other’s arms.

Late that night, Yuto awoke again and looked around and heard

“Yuto… wake up… please wake up Yuto…” The petite boy looked around and found Keito standing on the little balcony that stretched out of their suite. He wrapped the blanket around himself as the cold night air brushed delicately against his pale white skin. Gingerly he walked over.

“K-Keito?” He shivered as he took a step out.

“Yuto… Look, it’s a full moon, it’s so beautiful isn’t it?” Keito pointed to the sky.

Yuto turned and looked as the full moon greeted his eyes. Keito was right, it was beautiful, the night sky almost seemed to have framed the moon with brightly shimmering stars and a gentle light radiated down, lighting everything below in a beautiful pale glow. Yuto turned to look at his boyfriend again and was struck as Keito glowed with a light he had never seen before. The gentle light from the moon lit the boy’s eyes as they shimmered like the stars, and let his skin radiate the same benevolent glow. Keito was… beautiful.

“Yuto… are you okay?” Keito asked as he noticed the boy was staring at him for a long time. He walked behind him and began to massage his shoulders

“Huh? Un! I’m fine” Yuto smiled as he regained his focus.

“These came in during the night, the store owner said sorry for delivering it so late.” Keito said as he produced two small boxes. Inside rested the two halves of the pendant they had ordered one.

“Here, let me.” Keito beamed as he pulled out one of the halves and put it around Yuto’s neck.

“Let me…” Yuto said as he pulled the other and the two put the pendants around each other.

“It looks great.” Keito sighed.

“Un!” Yuto nodded, smiling as he leaned and the two boys kissed, their necklaces magnetizing together and forming the perfect shape of the moon behind them. When they parted, they felt the tug of the two necklaces keeping them together and giggled as they split the necklaces and once again gazed up at the night sky.

“I’ll always remember this night…  I’ll always remember you…” Keito whispered as Yuto smiled and the two snuggled on one of the small chairs sitting on the balcony.

And so, the second day ended…
