Hey... that's not bad... I see some great promise there with your youngun...

I have been doing some knitting... but it is all mundane stuff.. nothing fun. I have great pleasure in showing everyone your pattern in Big Girl Knits and telling them that I know who you are.. :) (gee... I could say you are my first celebrity)

I enjoyed your update, Emma. Who knows, maybe the nearsighted gene will skip a generation (one can hope)? I had to laugh at the "diagonal counting", since I'm having a lot of fun with those 100 charts in my second grade class right now (adding and subtracting "races"!) Seems some "get" the concept of which way to move when you add/subtract by 1's, 10's, or even diagonally by 9's or 11's (you know what I mean) intuitively, while most struggle. I will not be surprised when you announce that Pip is actually reading!

I'm imagining how happy Pip will be to be able to read to himself - it'll be the best thing evar.

You know, seeing that is really great after coming home and reading about how awful the knitting mods are. Thanks.
