Forgot to post. When wrog came home to pick up a few things for staying over at mom's on Wednesday, the lights were on. So we trundled the kids home. Emptied EVERYTHING from the fridge and washed it out, then put back the safe items: 5 bottles of wine, one unopened jar each of jam, relish and mustard (we don't even use the last two, so I'm not sure why ( Read more... )

This whole thing just amazed me. I thought it was bad enough that it took PUD a week to get power back to a lot of people on Camano Island after the snow a few weeks ago. This... just appalling.

I'm not sure? I seem to remember seeing it suggested someplace so they'd keep longer, and it doesn't seem to hurt them any. But we also tend to buy a number of them at once whenever we see them, because they're not around very often.

Now might not be the best time to ask you this, but would you consider knitting me a sweater if I paid you materials and labor for it? (Yes, I know that labor is typically vastly undervalued when it comes to "will you knit me a ..." requests, but I don't undervalue it and I'd be happy to pay top dollar.)

What I want is one of these, but I don't want the typical itchy wool they make them out of, I want something softer and more cashmerey.

Yes, but I'm already behind in sweaters I "owe" people, so it could take a year or more for me to get to it.
