In honor of Christmas, Mom, I didn't burn down your house

... despite my best efforts. Which is to say, I put the coffeecake in the oven, put on a pot of water for tea, went in to the living room to help Wm open a present, and the smoke detector went off. Oh, heh. Actually, she was glad. He makes a sweet bread that my cousins flip over (it *makes* the holidays for them) and I like just fine, but mom is left cold by. When I was little, there were always canned peas, they moved up to frozen but mom would still rather have fresh vegetables. And They always have turkey, which she just doesn't like.

yuuuuummmm -- raspberries and cream.

Beastie was perfectly content poking at the light up musical buttons through the wrapping paper. No interest in actually opening up the presents, just content to play with the boxes and watch the lights. Maybe one day. Sigh.

Glad that everything was relatively stress free for you.
