saint_buddha and kathrynt, it appears to have been a one-big-blurp event, with no fever, and now that he's done, he feels Just! Great! Let's! Play! so I hope it's not something your smalls are going to get

Doing something similar is one of my earliest memories (I knew there was Something Wrong That Needed Mommy, and boy did it wake her up.)

I can't imagine it makes for a refreshing start.

I'm actually feeling a little bit nausous myself. But I have an earache (swimmer's ear, nothing contagious, I get them often.) so that might be contributing to it.

Edit: If you hadn't mentioned it, I would have never thought "Aaaahhh! My kids are going to get sick! Batten down the hatches!" Someone always has to point out to me that I might get sick if they are sick because it never ever occurs to me. Danger as well. And I am bad about asking questions at the doctors. But everyone is okay over here and I'm glad it was one time thing.
