The first time I'm actually planning on going to SOAR, and registration opens at exactly the time I am going to pick up my mom to take her in for minor hand surgery. Where's the hospital? If it's Overlake, you might be able to get on the downtown Bellevue wireless...

I was just looking at that and wishing I could go. I would get all your ducks in a row and get what you want right up front. Find that wireless.

Yes and no -- Kathryn and I were signing up at the same time and she got the last spot in the big workshop we wanted to take together, so I'm on the wait list for it. I got all the retreat sessions I wanted, though. I am crossing my fingers that someone will drop out of the class -- or failing that, that Abby can be persuaded to take one more because she wuvs meeeeee.

Mom was having very minor hand surgery (releasing tendons in a couple of fingers, she's had this done twice before on others) and she's come through just fine.

*knocks on wood for you!* I'm on the wait list for a workshop class too, still haven't heard anything. :/ I'm glad to hear about the retreat sessions, though. (And about your mother, that it's so minor!)
