I was apparently the sixth person at the Urgent Care clinic who came in with a cut from Thanksgiving food prep, and they told me I was the most exciting patient of the day!

My friend rufinia took the very tip of her finger off with a mandoline earlier this year, while she was slicing lemons for an SCA feast. Oh, and she was the head cook.

You are in no way a wimp, those lidocaine shots are total pain.

But, wow, that sounds really... difficult. Hope things aren't too painful this week.

Yeah, if the bit of skin comes off, it will take much longer to heal. I go back in a week to get the stitches out, and they will tell me then if I need to keep the splint on longer. I just feel like I'm constantly flipping the bird!
