Sex and the University: Guy Friends

Feb 09, 2003 23:49

A really good guy friend is like a precious gem that you want all for yourself. Or a tattoo that you only want...not to be shared. Guys are like an STD they shouldnt be passed around. Recently, I lost one of my good guy friends to the "flavor of the month." I am not upset at her, as it isnt her fault, but slightly annoyed that my "flavor" which I ( Read more... )

I'd just like to comment that even though strawberry lemon may be the "flavor of the month" doesn't make vanilla any less tasty. and besides...its only a month.

I am going to have to agree that guy friends are just simply wonderful and can often times fill voids in your life that would otherwise be left empty. However, lately I have begun to see a striking trend throughout the majority of guy friends I have had in my life. Therefore leaving me with one resounding question: Do guys really know how to be just friends? Every time I have been close friends with a guy one of the 2 of us ends up falling for each other, and with the ratio somewhere around 4 for him and 1 mutual, I make the assumption that it is in fact guys who have the problem just being friends. Of course the problem here could lie in my astounding personality and great looks, but I hate to take the blame for such a great problem that guys have, over such petty things as those. Honestly though when it comes down to the wire, I believe it is neither guys, you, nor myself with the problem. This is simply another issue that society has inflicted upon all of us. We are most certainly the victims of a society that automatically ( ... )

sorry to be the anonymous bitch~ but why don't you guys stop worrying about the little shit like, oh no my guy friend has a crush on me cuz i'm so perfect, and realize that life is more than just you or me. It's bigger than that, so hypocritically i'm wasting my precious time with you, but try to understand how important every moment of life is... stop wasting it pondering little things like yourself, think but, how can your self centered self be of service to the world. A great professor once told me that there are only two kinds of people worth being in this world: One that writes greats stories, or one who's stories are worth writing about. I plan on being the ladder of the two, not being much of a writer. Go out and make a difference already!!!!!!!!

It's hard to find a species that doesnt live in numbers..fish are in schools, wolves in packs, and etc. The subject I was writting on was not a guy friend liking me...rather losing a dear friend. It's possible you read that wrong or chose to be ignorant. I dont believe most people can go out and make a difference. We all have roles in life and everyone makes a difference, but I am sick of people trying to get every single human on this earth to make a world shaping difference. Thats bullshit. Some of the biggest differences were either a) created through a mistake or b) not even known that they had occured. Sometimes some saying something can change one person's world. I heard it once said that: "to the world you are just a person, but to a person you can be the world." So, therefore there is no going out. We are just tiny little ants worrying over petty little things because that's all we are given at the moment. No man stays on the mountain top...there are always valleys. You cant run forever...refueling must always occur. Sure my ( ... )
