I agree with you on your comment, about it being before and all that jazz. But, do you draw the line with the type of crime? What if it was a sexual violation against a minor crime?

Well, If it was something as terrible as that, I'd probably demand they do some form of repentance and apologize to the minor. I wouldn't care whether my partner got forgiven or not. It would be about confronting what they did wrong, and letting the guilt encompass them. Then I'd have them do service projects that help minors.

But, that's just me. I seem to believe that everyone has the ability to change. (Unless they have Antisocial Personality disorder)

I respect your opinion.

I am a personal fan of the death penalty for any infraction involving sexual crimes, or exploitation, of minors. So I cannot forgive in a case like this. :) If I was dating a person, say was running from the law because he or she was being hunted for sexually abusing a minor, I would hand them over myself.

Being a victim as an adult really opened my eyes towards people that do that towards children. Waste of oxygen, in my opinion.

I, too, believe that people can change. It is just my personal belief that they forfeit their right to life, thats all.

Up
