I put myself in someone's shadow for almost 17 years and, on occasion, can still feel the saddening effects of that. They say love is blind but with my past experience I can tell you sometimes it's downright stupid.
thank you! that was beautiful Em. Since we don't talk much i really look forward to what you post on here. That was incredibly real. So many times i have talked aboput this same thing with Rebekah. Although it's abit different, i find it easier to talk to God rather than other people, i wish all these things that sorround me and distract me would be taken away, but then what kind of relationship would that be ya know? As you said we need to sacrifice things, sacrifice ourselves, and the only way we learn this is to do it, not have them taken away for us. I remeber Paul saying (because i was there LOL) something about having a thorn in his side, and GOd responded with my grace is enough. This seems to be what i just read from you, and i thank you for posting difficulties you go through, it makees me realize i'm not the only one, and that i need to be more open with other people for that very reason. much love to ya!
Em, I'm praying for you. I know I said this before, but I find it very reassuring that you are going through this at your age. It is good to see that you want more of HIM and less of you. I have only been wanting that for the last couple of years. Thanks for being so real, like Joshua said. What you have posted is real, and asking for prayer is a good thing.
