One of those friends list maintenance posts

I'm slowly trying to get my friends list into more manageable levels. I went away for a few days and even though I was actually checking LJ some of the time, I ended up with a friends page stretching back to skip 200. I can only hope that I do this whole "having a life" thing more often in the future, which leaves me even less time for LJ

Hey. This is my bid to sneakily evade bahleetion due to catatonic inactivity, by actually doing something vaguely friends-listy, like, I'unno, talking to you. I've been meaning to for a while, but your posts have tended to look long and scary and make my brain go blarg, even if the insides are soft and chewy if I'd only try them and see. (The insides of your posts, that is, not my brain. Either way, that's a really weird thing to say.) Anyway, I am going to try and keep up, because I remember why I liked you in the first place.

Pfft. Silly penguin. I'm not going to delete you! I actually only deleted one person, though I'd deleted three others semi recently who I guess the post could apply to...

Even if you never commented, I'd still keep you around because your posts are teh funny. I should comment every time I say to myself, "bouncy_penguin cracks me up", or if I quote bits of your posts/link them to my lovely IRC peoples.

Talking to me would involve special skills or a very loud megaphone, given that I disappeared off the face of IMs in like, November or something. First I was depressed and antisocial, then I was on supposed antidepressants and antisocial, and now finally I am neither, but I still haven't installed any of the usual suspects on this computer. Hmmm. Given my disappearing acts I don't really expect anyone else not to do the same, so you definitely don't owe me any kind of explanation or friends listy activity :) Not that I'd object if you did want to comment and suchlike. That's always welcomed
