Your outfit sounds fantastic and right up my alley. My style is extremely colorful and often mis-matched by traditional color/pattern rules. Case in point - this outfit. :)

I know! It's the And that kills it. But the necklace isn't super colorful at all, and the earrings are small. It's mostly pale pale green and clear crystals, with little carnelians here and there.

I think I could carry it all off if I were wearing black shoes.

Or an orangier pink shoe, to bridge the gap between pinstripes and carnelians. Of course, there aren't exactly scads of orangey-pink work shoes out there.

Well, the pinstripes don't read as PINK at all, but the shoes do. My philosophy on brightly colored shoes is that you don't want to match them, because that would be too matchy matchy, so you might as well just treat them like a neutral. Which leaves me with a pink neutral and a blue neutral, and I'm all patchwork. Oh well. C'est la vie. I'm not meeting any clients or anything today.
