This is so, so, wonderful, I can't even. I honestly love every part of this, but when Arizona took off her dress, and then her prosthetic, and stood there in front of Callie, that was just...FEELS. I could so see that happening, too - as surprising as it was at first, it was totally in character. You nailed their dialogue, especially there. I love that both of them recognized in that moment that Callie needed some time to be able to answer Arizona's question the way she really wanted her answer to come across.
And then the Christmas morning scene...it was basically like when the Grinch's heart grows three sizes (although the last time I checked I was not green or stealing Christmas...whatevs). Thank you so much for reading and for your kind words! :) I could kind of see Arizona getting frustrated and basically having to do this big thing (like ripping off her dress at a wedding haha) to get Callie's attention, because Callie's been a bit oblivious and stuck in her own sadness...which is understandable, but not very productive for both of them.
I honestly hadn't thought of Callie's guilt until I was writing it and it suddenly occurred to me that it could be part of her insistence to do the brain mapping. I'm very excited (and nervous) to see what they DO have in store in February...
Happy really belated New Year to you, too!!

I loved this. I loved it so much I re-read it more than once. Loved vulnerable, yet still firm, Arizona as she finally laid it all out there for Callie (and kudos to April ("So, go! Communicate!”).
Thanks for sharing your xmas story with us.
