Wow. LJ, you have failed me. I was not made aware of this comment as I was supposed to be, so sorry for my belated response.

I think because of a combination of things you are leaving out on purpose and me not having watched Orphan Black and my general not understanding sci-fi-type things because it's not really my thing most of the time.

That makes sense. Sometimes I don't even understand Orphan Black even though I love it...so that probably doesn't help me to explain it in my fic. You kind of don't need to understand it. All you have to understand is that Callie is a clone and that she has identical DNA as the others in this story. The "extra chromosome" thing is something that is on Orphan Black and I don't really understand the science behind it. The other thing that you have to understand is that Dr. Blake (and Ellis Grey) cloned Callie as an experiment and that it is illegal. Because it's an experiment, they are being monitored to see if being a clone affects their life or if they can function as normal humans. So, when Maria reveals that her husband has been performing tests on her and that Laura thinks they all have "monitors", that's why.

I don't know if that helped or not. :-/ I'm going to make an effort going forward to clear things up, because I really don't want the science to detract. At the end of the day, I want it to be a love

Glad to see this updated! This continues to be so interesting and I'm enjoying it.
So is it that easy? Is Ellis her monitor!? (you wouldn't tell me anyway - and that's okay! lol) Still a little skeptical on whether or not Arizona is "in the know" - BUT, I'm not too worried about their feelings for one another as they're totally genuine. :)

Love it!! particularly after this story and your suggestion inspired me to watch the "real" Orphan Black that now see me very addicted to it (and the awesome Tatiana Maslany).
