HAI. I missed being on here too.

(I wanted some exclamation marks there but my keyboard doesn't like those anymore. :)

I'm loving all the reading lately in my free time actually. It's nice to start making it through my shelf of unread books and get AWESOME NEW STUFF too.

ETA: Ooh, I see you've been watching some FNL. Kinda making me want to pick it up again.

My books have been a bit disappointing. I almost quit the long one once I knew where it was not going, but I liked other things the writer was doing so I finished it. It was the end of a series. I'm really glad I finished it. :-)

I read a 100-pager tonight. That took me about 90 minutes. I think I need longer books! I'm reading a lot of non-fiction too and that really has been more interesting than fiction lately.

ETA: So glad about your ETA. I didn't remember if you'd watched FNL. Why am I glad? Because halfway through season 4 I realized who Becky was.

TEENAGE HERA. Seriously, look at this icon! The curls! Every time I saw her come on to Tim, I imagined Helo being really protective! Hee. ;-)

Boo for disappointing books. I've been working from recs and authors I already like for the most part, so it's generally been good stuff on my end. But I'm a fan of longer ones usually too for that reason. :)

Yep, FNL. (I watch for Tami. :) I'm not quite to season 4 yet, but now I'm sure I'll be thinking of that too, hee. Such a good show when they get going.

*FLAILS*

YOU GOT WONDER WOMAN! :D

Can't wait to hear what you think. And let me know what you think of Runaways. I'm...interested in it but a bit nervous because it's new characters, new universe, heard it ends on a cliffhanger (and weirdly, while usually that wouldn't bother me because I'm fine with reading selected parts of comics, for once, if it's like, almost a self-contained series, it makes me vaguely sad). But it does sound like a super interesting idea.

*hopes LJ is still letting her comment*

ETA: it just occurred to me - make sure you also have a book with Rucka's Wonder Woman 219 - I think it got thrown mostly into Superman graphic novels because it was a crossover thing but it's like, a really important moment. If you don't have that one, I can hook you up with it cus you really need it for getting the most out of the story.

I DID. And it's really just as wonderful as you've been saying. Since I was never into comics before, mostly because where do you START, I didn't really have an opinion about Wonder Woman aside from vaguely hoping they would make a movie as a change from all the dudes superheroing it up. And I still want that. But oh, I'm so so glad I followed your recs, because DIANA. I actually sneakily copied your comment to sabaceaenbabe one of those rare times LJ worked, so I grabbed the Superman book while I was at it too and I'm just about to jump into Gail Simone's run. :D ( ... )
