post for a viewer's guide on which episodes are necessary for the plot in Avatar: the Last Airbender. I've attempted it? A:tLA fans, fill free to add on, it's been awhile since I watched the whole thing.

Obviously my hope is by that point you won't want to. :)
And of course! It started out being a compromise show I started with a roommate one summer, but we both ended up really entertained by it. It's a good one.

(You may not go for this because I know some people *hate* watching out of order and this isn't a good show to do that for anyway, but if it comes down to "otherwise I'll stop watching right now" you might jump straight to 1-18 and finish out the last 3. If you like the show then, DEFINITELY go back and finish out the ones you hopped over, but if you're done then hey, less time spent I guess. Because the last few are gorgeous overall and if the world hasn't sucked you in then I don't know how it would.)

Honestly, a list of skippable eps is a weird thing to try for a show that's one long narrative arc anyway. I'd watch it all, yes. But I'll stick by the premise that a few eps like Jet and The Swamp aren't *necessary* to enjoying and understanding the show.

Hee, I liked Zuko a lot and, by the time Zuko Alone rolled around, found him hilarious. That probably helped. :)
Rewatching is fun and pretty quick, I'm starting a friend on the show now and definitely looking forward to that later stretch of episodes.
