Mizzou summer welcome is this coming tuesday/wednesday. I'm a little bit nervous just because i really have no clue what I should be taking course wise. I'm hoping someone will be there to advise me. Hopefully I won't get lost in the system and end up with useless crap that I don't need and somehow skip the important classes. I think I am ( Read more... )

have fun! advising takes like 20-30 minutes tops. don't sweat it. are you doing honors advising? if so, they are awesome and you are set. if not, i have no idea. heh. you'll be fine, though, for real!

thanks. nope no honors for me. Is honors the only way you can take that warm little pond thing? Cuz that sounded really interesting.

yeah, but i think if you get a certain gpa first semester, you can become honors eligible.

Hola chica! scurvyknave, does Emily know that you go to my "new" high school? Ms Emmigreens was my former student at Metro, I'm quite pleased to say :))

Emily, I bet you will do VERY well at Mizzou, and be honors eligible. A really big key to success in college is being able to organize your thoughts into well-supported essays (frequent 2-3 page papers, usually), and I KNOW you'll do very well on that front.

no worries...you'll be fine i'm sure.

plus it's not like you can't drop a class or something like that. anyways...you'll have people there to help you and i'm sure you'll parents will give their opinions...i don't think you have anything to really stress about

Thanks for the encouragement, and advice. I love that we can stay in touch through livejournal Ms. Chabot. I mean really, when would we have talked to each other EVER again? So yay for LJ! Seriously, everyone should have one. And again, thank you so much for the encouragement, it means a lot.
