what was bad about it? the only thing that really upset me was peoples' ignorant responses to the wellness presentation. ick.

That was a BIG part of it because those people's responses just made me realize how different this environment is from what I'm used to. I even heard a group of guys talking later about "the lesbian", not in a positive tone. I don't know, it made me miss where I came from, my friends. That's it, but I'll get over it.

However I am really excited about a few things such as Sustain MU, the environment club...and living in McDavid is gonna be great too...oh and I got a work study job at the office of health profesions doing clerical work, but I'm still really excited even if my job is to stare at a computer screen all day. That was a long reply to comment. Sorry.

yeah, coming from pattonville, i am kind of used to people like that, but it was still pretty disheartening. i guess metro is a pretty liberal place, though, so that must have been a shock for you!

mu is still a really wonderful place, though. as long as you get involved and find awesome, like-minded folks, your college experience will be a good one.
