My first update from college. This is so exciting! Well, things are good here in Columbia. Meeting some pretty awesome people. Lots o time spent doing nothing though. It's rather boring at times. yikes! college days! msmademoiselle August 21 2005, 17:33:59 UTC
Okay, when I was there, not only was there no free shuttle to the mall, there wasn't a mall :)) We had to walk to the downtown street of Columbia, but we never had any money, anyway, so there wasn't much point :))

Ohhhhhh, yes! and the museum of Art and Archeology!!!!!!!!!! Do they still have all of the plaster casts of Greek and Roman statues there? That was my favorite area of campus... all of the art history classes were there. I had a class on Oriental Art History, and it was très cool, but EARLY in the morning, and I missed it too often.

wow... anyway.... interesting to have brought back to me a little rush of being at college, walking to art history, in the autumn weather of probably 1979? ohhhh my.

HAVE FUN! Are you taking French? Do you have to take a language at some point?

Yes yes, I started off my days at Mizzou... three years, then a year in Paris, then finished up at UMSL :) While I was in a dorm, I was in Laws (Laws Lathrop and Jones were the three halls there together... don't know if they have the same names now, or not... they were by Greektown, in between there and the football field, and Laws was across from the hospital parking lot.) Where are you!?! :)

Hey, did you know there's a big plaque with your picture among the wall of fame of Pattonville alumni out there in that main hall by the main gym?!? Yes yes!!

yeah, all the sorority girls live in those halls (since freshmen have to live in the dorms.) emily and i both live in mcdavid, which is by downtown. we have learning communities and ours is called "farc" which stands for fine arts residential college.

i figured that picture would go up eventually! it is for being in state band.
