anybody here familiar with Ken Wilber, and if so, what do you think of him and his integral theory?

it's not my area either, but i came across the idea of a "noosphere" or a "mind sphere", much like the biosphere and geosphere, in my readings yesterday, and was telling my friend Richard about it and he told me that this ties a lot into Ken Wilber and integral theory, which is essentially the idea of "spiritual evolution" and Wilber is a Buddhist, so yea it ties in Eastern and Western ideas...it's very dense...and I am about to buy his magnum opus Sex, Ecology, Spirituality: The Spirit of Evolution, which is like 850 pgs of theories brought together...i'm also gonna buy Full Frontal Feminism, so we can read it together <3...

but, what i've read about Wilber and integral theory on wiki and various excerpts seems plausible and not all that wacky, though i know someone like this is the brunt of crack-pot jokes and such...

i'm just trying to get a feel from others of what they think...

i unfriended you b/c i got a strange email from jake, vague in its contexts, and well to be frank i feel it implied some discussion b/w you two about me...so i'm just being safe...

the unfriending of KT is b/c she stopped being my friend in person a long time ago, and doesn't want to tell me why and discuss it like an adult...

maybe i'm being childish in my actions, but really i'm skeptical of people who may or may not gossip about me...tell me i'm wrong or whatever, but it's nothing personal B...i wish you luck in your endeavors and such...if you can enlighten me to rumors being spread or what have you feel free to backchannel...this is more out of curiousity b/c i really have no idea what he was talking about in his one line email and he thinks i do.

god. does any of this make sense and what does it really matter?

Wow. Weird. I've talked to Jake two or three times since he moved to New York. I don't think your name even came up.

well it was a dumbass email anyway, and i was just being cautious...i told him not to contact me again.

i'll friend you again (if you'll have me:)...but someone is fucking around with my name in their mouth and i don't appreciate it b/c i don't even care about jake...everyone's life is so different now, i don't see why anyone would be doing this...it was very strange.

I can't give you much input on Ken Wilber other than one of the people I respect most in this life finds him to be highly compelling and respects the hell outta him. I have one of his large tomes on my bookshelf, sadly unread.

in fact, yes, that would be the one.

After all, it has sex in the title, right? No pussy footing around with the intro stuff, straight to the nuts and bolts was my thinking.
