You probably won't remember telereg, which used to constantly give you a busy signal, or hang up on you if you didn't make a choice fast enough. The recorded woman's name was "Marsha." That really made me want a lobotomy.

Telereg I never did. I'm lucky in that regard. My cousin did, and her time was at 3am or something. And she only had a half hour! Ugh. My registration was so easy. I just clicked all the courses I wanted (which I had saved to a mock-up worklist), and said 'register all.' I was done by 7:02, my registration time having started at 7:00. Handily, I had been able to get up-to-the hour info on which courses were fillling up, so I could save back up choices for things like labs if my first choices fell through. Luckily enough, all my first choices were open! Huzzah ( ... )

It's offered this term, yes - but it requires too much time commitement, and would interfere with about half of my required courses. Basically, UBC makes it hard to do anything but casually study Japanese unless you major in it. Which I could do, but...meh. That might be tough ^ ^ we'll see, though. I'm more in favour of the live-in-Japan approach to furthering my Japanese knowledge.
