So I have a bum knee from a sports injury about seven years ago. No big deal -- I walk with a barely noticeable limp, can't play competitive sports anymore, and, oh, yeah, it has a (fortunately infrequent) tendency to just collapse under me. Which it did yesterday. And guys? I have a pathetically low pain tolerance. It's stupid. *grumbles*

That's what I'm thinking.
Sorry about your bum knee. I had heel surgery over a decade ago, and not only does it still act up every once in a while making my whole plantar fascia lock up, but it also acts as a handy (though ill-placed) storm-detector.

Surgery was suggested as an option long ago, but I was deadly scared of going under the knife (and still am)--I preferred giving up tennis over a complicated procedure. Still, the knee's acting up enough that I'm going to have to dig up those old reports and X rays and start considering surgery seriously. But it never does that weather-detection thing, which is cool in a weird sort of way. :P

My theory on why the boys can't see him and he hasn't communicated with them is that he is like the boys were when they were ghosts - he needs practice, and time to learn how to do all the cool stuff ghosts can do.
For the rest, I've only watched once and I enjoyed the silly stuff. I like Garth, but think if he's going to team up with the Winchesters that will reduce his survival chances to nought!

He's been very specific so far--from drinking the beer, to finding the correct page in 7.13 to finding the contact in 7.17 to pushing the sword in 7.18... seems pretty clear-headed and dexterous for a spirit that's still learning the ropes. But then again, he did look genuinely frustrated that Dean can't seem him yet, so... there's that.

He's already reduced it greatly by joining the Official Winchester Friends List. As long as he's comic relief, he's safe. I guess.
