There should be a fic called Sam's Adventures in His Head.

Beware of having the tiniest corner of liking for Sam/Cas. It's insidious. It creeps in and gets you. I know I am crazy biased in my love of Sam ships, but seeing Cas in relation to Sam just gets at so much that is most interesting about him: the combination of goal drive and obsessive attachment, which look like they clash and contradict but are really inextricably intertwined, both for s4 Sam and for s6 Cas. The faith issues. The soulfisting and forehead touching and "Boy". The abomination and the angel.

The vast majority of my Sam/Cas feels come from this one fic (oh but it is a magnificent fic). Ever since Sam extended forgiveness and understanding and an offer to help in early s7, though... damn. I have been yearning for ALL of the Sam-Cas.

Sam reaching out to Cas in 7.1 is one of my favorite Sam moments ever. It gives me FEELINGS.

I hear you on the stressful bit. However, the half-hour I spent filling the answers was supposed to have been spent on writing fic--fic that's making me want to smash my head against a brick wall.

Do it! It might not cure writer's block, but it's a way to convince yourself that you did something productive (at least, that's how I fool myself).
