Internet was down for the last week or so, which meant I missed my submission date for summergen, which means I defaulted. It's a bit devastating, really, since I was rather psyched for this challenge, but that's how things go sometimes. Oh well.

I was in desperate need of cheering up last night, so I caught up with Suits--and can I just say the

It sucks to have been defaulted -- did the recipient's fic get posted yet, or could you ping the mods and explain that you just didn't have internet connection? (And if not, there's nothing saying you can't still just post the fic later on, right?)

Also, too distracted to post last time, but Suits yesssss. I kind of fell out of it towards the end of last season, and 2.02 was one of my least favorite episodes of the series, but other than that I've really been loving the second season. And I was part of a liveblog post for 2.04, and it was kind of unanimous that Mike and Louis' bromance was the best part of the episode. (I cannot get over how Louis gave Mike the afternoon off. Awww.)

I did--but to be fair, it's been a week since my extended deadline, and I understand their decision to mark me as a default. I've just asked if it's ok to post the fic here now.

Right?! Mike-Harvey has slowly started to lose its charm, and I can't care less about Mike's romantic trysts, but Louis has steadily worked his way to the top of the reasons why I love the show. Mike-Louis make such a great team. ♥

Oh man, that sucks. :/ And while I can see them possibly asking that you not post until the rest of the fest is done with, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't let you post at all, if that helps any.

I am mourning Mike and Harvey this season. I ship it hard, but lately Harvey has been all about civil war with Hardman, that the Mike-Harvey interaction is so limited, and it genuinely seems like Harvey doesn't care about Mike (opposed to his earlier 'not caring'). I miss my gay subtext gdi.

Louis has slowly been creeping up on me -- I think it's that he's the most human of the characters. Like Mike said, actions don't just go away, don't get swept under the rug, Louis has been an asshole, but I liked how Mike pointed out "you did this, this and this, and that wasn't cool, but I still really enjoyed this case with you" in such a way where Louis was taking him seriously, and it was a remarkable scene when you consider that most of the characters on the show are so stubborn about them being always right all the time

I loved that little scene with Mike and Louis, with Louis seriously considering Mike's words (which, of course, made Harvey shooting him down and dismissing him that much more sad). Louis is funny and smart and conniving and a bit of an underdog, really, so his victories have more of a personal value to the viewer than Harvey's.

For once, can we have a strong and competent woman who is strong and competent and not have her be in love with the man she's been friends with forever?

This. So much. It's also why I greatly dislike what the show's been doing with Mike/Rachel. It doesn't matter that he's been an absolute heel with Jenny AND her, Rachel still pines after him!

I love Louis (even though I have only just realised I've been spelling his name wrong all this time. Doh!) It is becoming clearer as we go on that a lot of his bluster and snide remarks are just a cover for his insecurities and deep down desire to be loved... Aw.

Yah boo sucks about your summer-gen and internet debacle, you should certainly post here anyway.
