ROFL. So basically--
[Spoilery discussion.]
fuck the Winchesters, Kevin is awesome. I mourn the loss of his glorious, glorious hair, but welcome in its place what looks like a wonderful sort of badassery, (hopefully) void of manpain. Is it a little premature to be applying for Kevin!girl status? (Kidding, kidding! I still love you best, Sam!)

((Seriously.

True, but I'm still bummed that Sam never got a turn in Monster-landia. :p Or seemed to have done anything cool and adventure-y. It's a Problem. :D

And--hey, you. ♥

Well we know one thing for sure - Sammy got laid! And met Jess part 2! The question is - will the lucky lady survive it??? heehee I'm in a weird jokey mood today...wonder why considering the weekend is over....and hey I'm not even drunk. :P

I don't know yaar. For once I want to wait and watch the premiere before I sit and whine and bitch! I guess I'm not *that* invested in this show anymore. Maybe I've just realized (after 7 seasons) that my bitching and whining is of no use. See how wise I have become???

BTW totally, totally OT but have you heard the songs from Barfi??? If not - GO AND LISTEN TO THEM NOW! Main Kya Karoon and Aashiyaan are my favorites. :D

Anyways how are you? My crappy year just keeps getting crappier. Hope you're doing good. :)

PS: I miss our insane chats. :P

I am very VERY hopeful for Season Eight! I agree with you, though; they've been dulling/dumbing Sammy down the past few years. (Soulless!Sam notwithstanding. He was wicked shiny.) I think it's just sloppy writing and not truly knowing the character. Edlund has been the only one who can still nail the characters with consistency, IMHO. (Carver and Gamble have done good jobs, too.) But I loooooved it when Edlund had Sam and Bobby doing the amateur autopsy on that guy in the cabin, with Dean commenting whilst chock full of tainted turducken. Great banter, great characterizations ( ... )

Yep, Sam's Big Brain has become a forgotten characteristic. I miss his walking Encyclopaedia of the Weird days, when they managed to show the Winchesters as being somewhat competent, with years and years of hunting experience behind them. One would think that, with the kind of stuff they've seen and experienced, they would be leaving something for the next generation of hunters to learn. A legacy, even.

I attribute the stasis when it comes to the characters to how the writers managed to divorce their character progression from the main plot--one had to be put on hold for the other to progress. But you're right--Edlund and Gamble had the skill to weave both together expertly.

My one fear is that this season is gonna be marginalizing Sam, what with "Cas and Dean's Big Adventures in Purgatory". [...] and Sam gets ... a girlfriend. Oh, and maybe a dog. Woo.

Exactly. It's kind of killing me. I guess it's only fair--Sam got to have Hallucifer while Dean was with Lisa, and Dean gets to have... whatever he picked up in Purgatory.
