Diwali is done! Didn’t burst any crackers this year but had lots and lots of glooooorious food-I justified all the hogging I did by asserting that I needed to get ready for all the weight I’m going to lose over the next two months. OH GOD I’M NOT READY NOT REALLY

Still working on those recaps. Meanwhile, insta-thoughts! Because opinions.

5. I have never subscribed to the notion that Chuck was God, but-could he have been Metatron, at the very end?

This was my theory!

10. right? ugh, Dean, you're going to get vampire hepatitis. (Vampatitis? NO.) Not that I care but don't bleed on Sam.

13. My prediction right now is that Naomi was kind of a backroom power player during all the upheaval of S6, and then took over in the power vacuum Cas left when he disappeared.

Yay! I've always found the idea of Chuck as God ridiculous--come on, you can take a conceit only so far--but the Metatron thing didn't occur to me until now. And yes yes YES--Metatron using the Prophets as, okay, if not as vessels, at least as conduits?

Vampire hepatitis! Yikes. It reminds of Sam's demon blood addiction--as much as I love that storyline, a part of me used to balk and cringe and go, "But Sam! Think of all the blood-borne diseases you're exposing yourself to!"

Naomi was kind of a backroom power player during all the upheaval of S6

Maybe. I just--wish Show would stop throwing new angels at us.

is over! Damn! Chutti itni jaldi khatam ho gayi. :'(

Had a great Diwali though. Ate like a pig and I'm depressed cause I'm surely gonna put on weight. (Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!) and spent loads of paisa! But who cares, its the festive season!

What have you been up to? Been ages since I heard from you, you busy doctor woman you!

As for Supernatural, *sighs* I haven't worked up the courage to watch it after episode 2....I'm not sure if I should watch it. :/

Oh well...hey you must be aware of the whole Jab Tak Hai Jaan vs Son of Sardar thingy right? Well I read this joke on the internet and I cannot resist sharing it with you cause I find it really funny.

Rahul Gandhi: Mummy, hum is desh ko kab tak lootenge?
Sonia Gandhi: JAB TAK HAI JAAN
Rahul Gandhi: Ismein hamari madat kaun karega?
Sonia Gandhi: SON OF SARDAR

heehee As you can see, I am easily amused. :P

Tell me about it. :( It passed like a flash.

Dude. Diwali is all about the food--no reason to feel guilty! Now that I'm in the hostel, I've been sampling sweets that my friends have brought back from home. Today was Bengali. Yum.

I haven't been to facebook in aaaaages. :( Just barely enough time to squeeze in SPN and CF. Got my exams in Jan, and the panic has reached critical levels.

SPN is... a bit rough to watch as a Sam-fan right now, I agree. The plot-arc by itself is rather fascinating? And so is Sam's backstory, tbh, but it's so choppy and incomplete that it's so much harder to be emotionally invested in it.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan vs Son of Sardar

LOL. Is that even a thing right now? I went to watch English Vinglish earlier this week, and ran into a guy desperately trying to sell me Jab Tak Hain Jaan tickets. I think he would've even given it to me for free, if I'd asked. :p IDK, I just found it amusing.

Belated Happy Diwali btw! Silly me, I forgot to wish ya. *facepalm*

Got my exams in Jan, and the panic has reached critical levels.

Oh dear. o.o All the best. Kindoff OT but I am going for a trip in Jan! Kerala here I come! :D :D :D Have you been there? If yes, tell me what are the best places to visit!

it's so choppy and incomplete that it's so much harder to be emotionally invested in it.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I mean there was a time when I used to go nuts if I couldn't watch the livestream. Now I've missed 5 episodes and I couldn't care less.

LOL. Is that even a thing right now?

Oh yeah it is. Ever since Yash Chopra passed away they have made it into this huge issue. Personally, I think both movies look like shit.

I went to watch English Vinglish earlier this week, and ran into a guy desperately trying to sell me Jab Tak Hain Jaan tickets.English Vinglish! How I loved that movie! Granted it's far from perfect but it's the best Hindi movie I have seen in a while now. And how awesome was Sridevi? Now this is ( ... )

Re: SPN - "but how did they create that portal?" I got the impression that it was there because having an entire living human in Purgatory was never meant to happen so effectively the anomaly created its own rift. But I am probably reading too much into what has been said in an attempt to make sense of it!

Angel-wise, although I actually always liked all the heaven and hell stuff, this new development with Cas returning and once again unknowingly serving a higher purpose leaves me a bit - meh. I suppose it depends how this myth arc meshes with the whole Crowley thing in the long run. Hopefully there is a long run.

I did like the fact that Cas was able to call Dean on his 'everything is my fault complex' though. And your observation about how he does seem to be obsessed over Purgatory, like it's preying on his mind more than Hell ever did - yeah, interesting.

Oh! And happy Diwali (belatedly)

the anomaly created its own rift.

That makes sense! I wonder how Benny knew where to look for it.

Right?! Show keeps thrusting new angels at us, and it's just getting so very boring. And unwieldy.

Thank you! ♥

re the tablets...isn't there a hint that not god but actually metatron made them? out of his own volition? which would make more sense than God suddenly doing it imo

Yeah, but as I understand it, Metatron is the scribe, and it's God word that he transcribed, so. God wouldn't have given dictation if He hadn't meant the tablets to be found? IDK. I'm not particularly fond of the plot point, either way.
