Not everyone wants or needs a midwife. I think it wrong to assume women want one just because it is or can be available.

So you think that because not everyone will choose a midwife, the rest of women should not be allowed a choice?

It's wrong to assume that every woman out there wants and or needs a midwife just because one may be / is available.
