Why do dress shoes always have to be so damned uncomfortable? I mean, even just looking at my options here, I know my poor messed-up feet will not be happy. And also, why do the majority have to have those skinny little stiletto heels, which no one with my kind of co-ordination (or lack thereof) can be expected to walk in, much less wear for

Try looking for flat or low platform sandals. Like this:

Yeah, I figure that's the route I'm gonna have to go, if I don't just suck it up and wear my clogs. Though I'm not sure they really go with the dress that well anyway, so I'm just gonna kind of keep an eye out until the party and see if I find anything.

It's just unfortunate I can't order something online. Due to having a lot of problems with my feet since childhood, I've never been able to just order something, even if I know it's my size.

Ah well. I'll work something out, one way or another.
