Everybody understands- in fact, everybody has experienced at some point- that when food is free, or perceived to be free, many people take more than they actually need. After all, why not? It's free. I've *had* gov't provided health care, when I was on active duty. Hated it. Had no place else to go and was treated the way captive customers usually are. Not doing that again if I can help it.

BLESS YOU!!!

I live in North Dakota, and we get plenty of the Canadians with money coming across the border for health care. Yes they get "free" health care in Canada---WHEN IT IS AVAILABLE. As people who can afford to pay cash do not elect to wait six weeks or longer for an appointment, they come here.
You think the line between the quality of care for the "have" and "have not" is big now, wait until uncle sugar takes over!!!!

Somebody in a community I'm a member of is whining about "why don't we give healthcare to all Americans." Do you mind if I direct them to this thread? The discussion here is much more intelligent than what is going on over there so far...
