My New Philosophy

What is forever? The dictionary defines it as "for ever lasting time; eternally." But can such a term really be defined? Forever can be used in so many different ways. For example, "I talked to my friend forever last night." "Forever" in that sentence obviously is not eternally, because it took place in one night and the person is still alive to ( Read more... )

Forever is till the end of time, which in my opinion is before/around December 21, 2012. So whenever I say forever I usually mean eight more years. Haha, anyway..

Yeah, I guess I tried to stop doing the forever thing after falling in love with "Love Bites" a year or three ago and hearing the lyric "Do you tell lies and say that it's forever?", but I still do it sometimes, because I've grown up with it. Not directly, honestly I don't think I've heard either of my parents say forever once in their lives, but from media and everything else..

I could go on about this for a really, really long time, but I think I should stop here. I'll just say I don't like the word.

Hmm, good point Emily (if you were trying to make one). becasue if someone says they will love you forever, i guess you wanna think they will love you until the end of time, if you really love them too. but if waiting in line may be a few hours, then people can say "i'll love you forever" and use it in the same context of the line statment. though i guess people and situations change. but when someone says "forever" they are just expressing their deep love for something, whether it be only for that moment, or forever.

i suppose it all depends on the sincerity of the person. some people have no problem with saying things they dont truely meen or havent thought about long enough to support their claim.

p.s. you having some troubles? or is this just a random thought.
