No insult taken. I honestly am not sure where I'm going or if I'm going anywhere toward building a true romance where Carol is involved in this series as it's a bunch of one shots that don't really permit for huge plot developments like that. And as much as I enjoy the idea of Uhura/Jim I just don't see that happening in this verse which is set immediately after STID in which we saw Uhura and Spock firmly together as a couple. Any world in which I can see Uhura and Jim together is in a post S/U breakup and that simply doesn't fit here.
