Guess a good caption for this image!
What spawned this? It was
this. I know I'm weak.
This scenario actually happened to me. I was seventeen at the time.
This drawing is a euphimism compared to what I really looked like in highschool.
Points to note:
- The Baseball Cap. It was grey and blue and had The Tick on it. FREV gave it to me. On the bill were pins from Disney world, a big orange feather hot-glued to the underside, and Jian Ghomeshi's signature. Jian wrote "Emo, you rock! [Heart], Jian"
- The Glasses at this point were the kind with just two lenses with holes drilled in them for the wires. They weren't really frames. I picked that style after seeing Dr. Green from the TV show ER.
-We weren't into ear piercings at my school. We were into ear cuffs, which is a euphimism for fake piercings. I had one. On my left ear, because I'm not gay.
- My hair was bleached and dyed red. This was back when I actually went somewhere to get my hair cut, and the woman who didn't hadn't gone senile yet and would choose a more tasteful red to put on my head. Later, she would say things like "Oh, you're a funky girl! Let's go redder!" and then I'd have freaky Ronald McDonald Head.
- The Eyebrows were all over my face.
- The Collared Shirt was army surplus. It had no threadcount to speak of, so I was usually cold anyway. That little square on the inside of the cuff is a patch of South Korea that I sewed on, but now I realize I wouldn't have had that then because I didn't go to Korea and buy those patches until a few months later.
- Yes, I had Boobs, but I hunched over and wore huge clothes to hide 'em.
- My pants were huge too. I wore boys' pants that were too big for me and liked it.
-It was all probably made in countries like Sri Lanka and the Dominican Republic.
I looked like a frikkin grunger then! What's funny is that the music I bought were things like Da Vinci's Notebook's Bendy's Law and Moxy Früvous' You Will Go To The Moon (to replace the pirated tape that was on its way to dub tape heaven).
No, I'm being for serious! This drawing's begging for a good caption.
