"You've made me a better person," she whispered. "I'm changed because of you. You've had more of an impact in eight months than most people who've known me for years."
Anakin's eyes filled up with tears again. "You've made me a better man," he said, "which will make me a better Jedi. There aren't words to explain how much you mean to me."
"So do I," she murmured. "I'll think about you when I see it. And when I don't. And when I'm eating, especially with sticks. And when I play fetch with Vladdie. And when it snows. And when I'm in the shower." She smiled a little at that. "And when I'm just about to go to sleep."
Anakin smiled back, eyes shining. "And I'll think of you when I'm flying, or making a new lightsaber, or practicing with glitter, or learning a new language, or drinking caf." He reached out to touch her cheek. "And when I'm just about to go to sleep."

Rory, puffy-eyed and pale, made her way into the clearing wearing last night's clothes.
"Hi. Sorry for sleeping."
