Almost immedietly after the events in X2, Rogue goes to Virgina and attends Fandom High for one semester. She returns the mansion and graduates 3 semesters later (a year after her class, due to missing 8 mos of school on the run). She joins the team and attends community college for 3 years. When the rest of her class (Bobby, Kitty, Jubilee, etc) come back to join the team (those that do) she heads off to FT to start an outreach program.
Emma grew up in the Frost household, rich, privileged, absolute bastards. Her entire childhood is spent avoiding the manipulations of the family circle.
At the end of her Senior year. On the evening of her Father, Winston, announcing the heir to Frost Enterprises, he stuns the entire family by tapping Emma. He also has the men in white coats come and drag Emma's only friend, her brother Christian, away.
Because Gay = Crazy when you're a Boston socialite.
Emma spits the dummy, politely tells them to go to Hell, and leaves. She winds up in an asylum, having not been able to deal with her telepathy properly, and stays there until she starts talking -back- to the voices in her head. She mentally hijacks a guard, and has him walk her out the front gate of the Asylum. A few months later, she arrives in Fandomtropolis.
(After the events of X-2) Scott ends out the fall semester, takes a sabbatical -- realistically, he's taking a break to mourn and move on. Xavier has kept up with some of his students, particularly Bobby and Rogue. (gives me a reason for him being here) Ask Scott to give Rogue a hand at her outreach program, and keep an eye on Bobby, while taking the time to get himself back in order.
