-The Basics-
The basic things that everyone is dying to know!
Name: Marina
Age: 20
Story behind your username: It's a Promise Ring song
Origins: Los Angeles
Current location: Orange County

-Your favorites-
List 5 favorites for each. Then pick one from each of those five and explain why it made the list.
Bands: Knapsack, Mineral, Bright Eyes, Roadside Monument, The Gloria Record. I chose Knapsack becasue I am just totally captivated by Blair's lyrics and voice. A few of the songs on the Day Three of my New Life album I can really relate too and they helped me with a personal struggle I was going through.
Songs: The Juliana Theory//For Evangeline, Kanpsack//Katherine the Grateful, Zao//If These Scars Could Speak, Mineral//80-37, The Promise Ring//Make Me a Mix Tape. I chose all of these song becasue they remind me so much of a friend of mine who is missing. It breaks my heart. The Promise Ring reminds me of the times he would go to my window in the middle of the night with a tape he made for me. I miss those days.
Movies: Ghost World, Velvet Goldmine, True Romance, Mallrats, Lost Highway. Ghost World reminds me of high school and my best friend and I would do really weird things to enertain ourselves.
Books: Anything by Francessca Lia Block. All her book take place in L.A. and the San Fernando Valley, where I'm from.

-Free Time-
Well, being a mom take up like 95% of my time, but I love it! In my free time I have a little company called Graveyard Glamour ( www.myspace.com/graveyardglam ) and I'm starting to write again. I go to shows when I can. I know, I'm not too exciting!

-The Old Days-
Ok, so we're getting a picture of you now, but what were you like when you were younger? I was, and still am, really quiet and shy. I hated when my 1st grade teacher made us dance on the carpet. I swear everyone was looking at me haha
What was your favorite crayola crayon color? Red, it still is =)
Tell us a funny story from when you were in elementary school: The only things I remember about elementary was playing with hula hoops, meeting my friend Janice ( who I am still friends with!) and seeing weird skits in the auditorium about not doing drugs.
Go dig up a baby/childhood picture (if you can):

-Speak Your Mind-
Tell us your opinions on these hot button topics. Answer as completely as you can, put some time into this!
Gay Rights: I am totally for them. I have gay friends and they should be able to love who they want!
Labels: What's the point?
George W. Bush: I don't agree with almost everything he does, but I can't really complain becasue I didnt vote in the last election =/
Straight Edge: I think its a really positive choice to make for yourself. Having my daughter has made me pretty much straight edge. I feel so much better now, than I did when I was a booze hound.
Abortion: I beleive in a womens right to choose.

-Emo Reject-
So why do you want to be here, and why do you belong? Let's find out!
How did you find out about emo_rejects? I was u=just looking through communites that look interesting and I stumbled upon it.
What made you want to apply? Seemed like a cool community to be apart of.
Why do you consider yourself emo? I guess the music I listen to. I listen to alot of old school emo though. I t seems like now a days all you have to do is write a song about how you have a broken heart and you are considered emo.
What music do you listen to that would make emo elitists cringe? All the psychobilly I listen to.
What's your most dorky reject moment? like 5 years ago I asked my friend to be my valentine and he said no.
