It is rather strange...I returned to work this morning with news that I was to be put on another assignment for the time being, and realized that I didn't know any of the people walking around there. Everything seems so strange

I think it's because you've changed. But, you wouldn't know that, would you . . . Well, I'm sure she doesn't want to hold you responsible for it, either, if she's as good a person as she seems. You should just let her work these things out. I think that would be best. In the meantime, you should take care of your own concerns.
