I can actually attest to the fact that Swingline staples *are* vastly superior to their Boston counterparts. I've got a Swingline for home/school use, and a Boston at work...my Swingline is a sleek, aerodynamic piece of office supply artistry, while the Boston is merely a metal bar that staples. Man, I'm way too into staplers.

Imntbho, the only time young instructors are desirable is when it's a subject for which one has little to no interest. They desire to be 'liked' by the class, and so abbreviate the material as much as possible. Of course, there is the off chance that they will turn out to be one of those by-the-book zealots, but one is usually safe from that in the modern educational system.

Patrick mentioned this spring he was releasing his latest CD over the summer, iirc. I believe I’ll see if he has any .wav files to sample…
